Royal Langnickel 8-Inch by 10-Inch Foil Engraving Art Blank Boards, Copper

Wanted a thicker type of paper.

They are for making posters for events and giving as gifts

I have been looking at golden scratch boards or in this case engraving boards for a while now. At first I was apprehensive because most that I found had bad customer reviews. I am an art teacher, so I do look at quality. However, these golden engraving boards had great customer reviews, and they looked so nice. I ordered the for my AP art class, and did not regret my purchase. They are great! I would recommend the correct tools for them. Metal over the wooden sticks that come with some scratch boards. They look beautiful when you finish, and I highly recommend these!! They are most definitely worth it!

The only reason i bought this was because I could not find any blank 8 by 10 copper scratch boards that were sold near me. The ink coating feels a lot different than other scratch boards I have used in the past, it is also very reflective and the actual copper part was no as bright as I thought it would be.

Product was exactly how it was described.. Only issue was some delay in delivery

It was exactly what I ordered and they were blank boards. They got here quickly and I am sure my daughter will enjoy creating on these boards.

Bought for an eight-year old's birthday and he couldn't even use them. Neither could his parents. Tried a butterknife, screwdriver, edge of scissors, charge card corner, etc. Had to press so hard to try to get through to the color that it often ended up tearing through the paper. Most of the time it did nothing at all. Total waste of money.

Product arrived well packaged and correct. Tried it out and no scratches all sheets were good.

These are difficult to use. They need to be used by older pupils with a certain amount of skill. Younger pupils are inclined to get bored with them as they take a long time to do.

As a card maker I have used this product with Spellbinder dies and embossing folders - cogs especially, in fact - for men's cards. To begin with I used a fine sandpaper sponge for distressing card but found this took the surface off the engraving card too much exposing the white core. I then tried washing up sponges with a scratchy surface which was less abrasive and pretty successful (polishing up with the sponge side). The edges of the sponge became less effective after a while and I then cut them up to give extra edges. It's really effective on the cogs which come up gleaming with a small amount of black still showing. I haven't tried it on more delicate dies but it would probably be just effective with care. White bits were successfully covered up with copper wax (I was using the copper engraving card).Of course, I know that far more artistic achievements can be produced from this card but beyond my capabilities!.

This is a great addition to any crafter's repertoire. You can get beautiful results after very little practice and it's a lovely relaxing way to spend some down time. Images can be drawn free hand or traced,but I like to use my favourite stamps to transfer an image onto the board - best to use a light Stazon inkpad & leave it to dry completely before you start to scrape the outlines.This item was good value and delivered really quickly so full marks for customer service.

Very thin ink over foil. You need to be careful ... it comes off easily.
