Style:62-Volt The Scotts cordless string trimmer is a lightweight and powerful alternative to a gas string trimmer. This battery-operated trimmer has a huge advantage over a gas trimmer because it is low-maintenance and does not require oil or gas to function. It also makes this cordless electric weed eater a greener choice since it runs on clean energy. The Scotts battery trimmer edger is an ideal tool for all of your outdoor grass cutting, edging, and weed whacking needs.

Impossible to find replacement string spools
And using your own string on the spool isn't as easy as it should be; in fact, it's a pain. All my other trimmers I have just been able to purchase replacement spools. Why aren't they available for this? I should have checked in advance but who would think they wouldn't be available?

Battery outlasted me
I have an acre property and about 1/3 of it is prone to weed growth. I tackled it today and ran out of gas before I ran out of battery. Part of my weed responsibility is behind a fence. Out of sight out of mind. The weeds were knee high. This weed whacker was more than up to the challenge and the battery life was astounding considering the work it had to do. Only negative is that the extension tube tends to rotate a bit. Maybe I just don't have it assembled correctly...no, you don't believe that.

Great until something breaks
I’ve had this less than a year now. Motor and batteries are great. Recently the bump feeder cracked and finding a replacement is impossible. I’m assuming the bump feeder is a problem part seeing how it’s always sold out. I’m currently looking for an alternative trimmer head with no luck.Long story short, I’ve used it about 4 times. Now it sits in my garage collecting dust until I can find a new trimmer head.

line and spool replacement
cover removal for line and spool replalcement requires a flat heat screwdriver to pry the cover open; not user friendly designthe line does not automatically feed, it needs to be manually feed by pressing the line feed buttonoperating button switch that starts trimmer(when squeezing the handlel) did not function on my last onenecessitating a new purchaseI went with the same product because of familiarity and I knew how to manage the above problems/issues I had encountered with my 1st Scott trimmer.other wise, lightweight and batter charge holds

Great for the price
It's absolutely a great trimmer. I was worried about whether it would have enough power and if the battery would last long enough for me to do my yard. This trimmer not only had enough power but it also had enough battery life to trim my yard a couple of times. Very happy with my purchase

Plenty of power and much easier than a gas trimmer
Didn’t know a battery powered string trimmer could be so powerful. Save my arm too for not having to pull the starter string for a gas trimmer which would have trouble to start if not used even for just a few weeks. Hope the batter would last longer than the three year warranty period, or $150 for replacement. Assembling the handle is a task.

Center shaft button will not hold
Not what I expected from Scott’s. Center of shaft button does not hold. Used once and threw it away. Nice battery and charger though. Waste of money.
