Overpriced but they work
As other reviews have mentioned these are definitely very overpriced. Having said that they have been excellent in healing my dog's tail. They are not perfect and you still need to be careful as my dog did manage to open the wound after hitting her tail too hard on something once or twice, but allowing the wound to breath (at one point we had the tail in a closed bandage and this made the wound much worse) while still offering some protection really helped and her tail is now almost fully healed. I have also shown them to my vet who think it's a very clever solution.

A no from me
One of my dogs has happy tail and we were struggling to get it to heal. The design of these is good but for what you get I think they are overpriced. We couldn't get these to say on no matter what we tried, even with the sticky tape she was able to wag them off along with chunks of her hair. They might work amazingly well if you can get them to stay on. We did manage to save our girls tail thankfully by padding the inside of an XL crate with thick towels fixed on with cable ties and lots of chews and bones to keep her occupied

Way overpriced!
Out of desperation to try and save my dogs tail from amputation I was recommended this product by my vet.The product itself is reasonable and functional. However how can a roll of fabric sticky plaster, some plastic netting with an applicator be worth £28!Doesn’t even come with any bandage/wadding to help protect the tail tip.Ripped right off!!

Definitely work
I was very sceptical about buying these and couldn't see how they could really work.We were forever wiping blood from kitchen cupboards, walls etc. but using a dog end on the tip of her tail really does work, she even lays down waiting for me to do it.I also bathe her tail in salt water and put a little sudocream on the tip.So pleased with this product.

Aweful product
Used product as instructed alongside using an elizabethan collar. The constricting nature of the mesh irritated my dog who tried to chew it off at any opportunity. He eventually managed to get to it and chewed the end of his tail. £1300 later we now have a full tail amputation because of the damage caused. Rather go to your vet, let them assess and advise how to wrap and dress the tail. One tiny cut on the tip of his tail has turned into a major problem because of the faulty design of this product and for what you get, it is extremely overpriced.

Expensive to buy if it doesn’t work
Our 9 month old keeps splitting the end of her tail wagging it, so we purchased these to try to help it heal.We followed the instructions- very easy to follow and looked good (I’m used to bandaging horses etc). However she either chewed it off (I think the pressure of the mesh over the sore was irritating), or she would wag it off at speed - she has a pretty long tail.We also tried bandaging lightly over the wound and then putting the cage over - but again it was either chewed or wagged off. We used a cone around her neck - but she could still get to her tail - I guess it’s the easiest part of her body to reach. We have resorted back to vet wrap which seems to stay on for a day and then have to be re-done. We did steal the idea of the tape further up the tail - that seems to help the vet wrap stay on longer. Sadly a costly thing for us to try that didn’t work. I’d try all other options first.
