Bose® UFS-20 Universal floorstands (Pair) - Black

I have had a Bose speaker system (5 single cubes), with base unit, for nearly 14 years, and finally went with a pair of these stands. You see, I have cats (two, though one is the primary culprit). Cats (Jack and Eli, who are actually still kittens) like to 'play' with shoe strings, string, and any type of cords or speaker wires left lying on the floor for no logical reason but for them to attack. I was concerned that these stands may not be heavy enough to both support my speakers and survive cats . . . but I have been very happily satisfied! And while I have always enjoyed the quality of my Bose system, these stands truly enhance the audio to a new level. I have placed an order for two more of these great stands today, with only the center speaker remaining on the console below my Sony LED TV. I cannot recommend these stands enough, and were a breeze to set up (under the watchful eye of 'Jack', who insisted on helping until being placed in another room). Now, my life is easier because I don't have speaker wires dangling from the table tops and attracting menacing felines. Thank you Bose, and to Amazon for promising delivery of the other two tomorrow! Life is good!

Wow! I never thought that a stand would affect the quality of sound so much as these have done. I am sure this has got no direct effect but it does indirectly aid the sound quality. Prior to getting this stand my speaker arrangement was just to place them on the TV stand on either side of the TV. I used to feel something was wrong as I was not able to enjoy the feel and effect that much. Then when I got this and set it up, the difference was remarkable. The difference was the height at which the speaker was set up now. It was more or less to the height of my ears when seated on couch than my earlier set up which was way way below. So now I am totally enjoying it.Shipping was on time and packing was good. The instruction sheet is very neat, precise and simple. Putting them together took around 15- 20 mins. The base is heavy and hence gives stability to the upper body. Once set up, it brings a lot of elegance and decor.Overall...I'm lovin' it

I bought these for my BOSE Cinemate GS II system, they are well designed to hide the cable built well to last, reasonably priced and balanced well. I think I'd like to see some height adjustability for looks but maybe these are optimized for projecting sound toward someone sitting on the couch so height adjustment may be obsolete.I'd read that sound is significantly improved by using these stands vs. placing the speaker on a table top surface. They sound great but I can't say that I notice any difference. Maybe if I had both configurations side by side I could tell. I might notice some improvement spatially as the speakers are a bit more separated side to side now; they were only about 4' apart before and with these stands I have them about 6' apart which may be a bit better for stereo left/right sounds. I don't personally like the look of the speakers on the stands as compared to when they sat on my TV stand in front of the base of the TV but now that I have them it's time to watch some movies and stop worrying about it.The assembly instructions were terrible, you would never guess they were from BOSE. It seemed as though they tried to do a bad job with them. If you are mechanically inclined these stands go together pretty easily but... I don't understand why they couldn't have put a little more effort in to the instructions.I know these retail for around $90 but even at $60 here on amazon it seems a bit steep. I suppose it's reasonable considering free shipping and quality construction. Amazon delivered these very fast in the Northwest too.Ultimately these are fine and I wont be changing them although I'm not all the picky and don't really like the look of a stand anyway so I probably would have done just as well with some lower cost generic stands even if the wire doesn't conceal in them as well.

These stands work very nicely for Bose CineMate II speakers. The stands elevate the speakers approximating a sitting person's ear level, thus providing the highest fidelity sound environment. The vertical pipes are not meant to accept the speaker wire internally, rather the wire is pressed into indentations that travel the height of the pipe. Since the Bose CineMate II speaker wire is black, the black speaker stands camouflage the wire perfectly. The silver or white speaker stands will not be able to do that. However, since the wire is pressed into the spine (back) of the pipes relative to the emitted sound of the speakers, this design limitation may not even come into play. The bases are heavy enough and have a large enough footprint to easily withstand casual bumps without tipping over even resting on thickly padded carpeting. Assembly is required and a small to medium Phillips- or standard-head screwdriver is needed. The first stand assembles in ten minutes or less--the second in five minutes or less.

When we first bought our Bose 2.1 speaker system, which is hooked up to the tv in our bedroom, I placed the speakers at each end of a full sized dresser. They sounded ok but not great. I decided part of the problem was that they were not far enough apart and and the other part was that some of the sound was being directed into the dresser top. And so, I decided to order the Bose floor speaker stands as the tabletop version would still not solve the separation problem.WOW! What a difference. The sound of the speakers completely opened up. Not only did the quality of the sound improve, but they now seem to fill the whole room. These are a must have if you're a Bose owner. You won't believe the improvement. You've already invested a good deal into the system, spend a little more and get the most out of it.

Item was very worn and damaged, parts missing. I can’t recommend.
