This is a great set whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist. For beginners, you can follow along with the YouTube tutorials that walk you through every single step of the painting, and use the light outline on the paper as a guide. For more advanced artists, you can use the outline as a starting point and let your imagination take it from there. The paper is very thick so it can hold a lot of paint and water. There is no bleed-through, so you can do a full painting on both sides. If you are using a LOT of water, you may want to secure the paper to keep it flat, but for regular painting this isn't necessary. My only "negative" feedback is that I wish there was more variety in available sizes and number of pages per pad :)

The watercolor pad has light outlines for you to follow. The videos are absolutely wonderful - very thorough and each lesson builds on the skills taught in the last video. With this pad and the Chromatek brush pens, you have a complete painting course at your fingertips, to use at your own pace!

Very when used with associated paint pens and online tutorial. Good for kids 8 and up.

I got the watercolor brush pens which came with the paper then i got another order of just the paper because i love the tutorials and pictures they have ready for you. The quality is very good.
