Display was DOA
iMac 27" replacement display was dead on arrival. Sadly—whether coincidental or not—my cracked display no longer worked after the trade-out either—though it was working previously. I'm sorry I didn't just cough up the cash & have Apple replace the display. It might have cost a bit more ... but at least I wouldn't have had to buy a new computer & wait the inordinate amount of time it took to get the replacement . And I'm a Mac consultant with 30+ years under his belt, so it's not like I'm new to all this! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
