Slow and steady
Very easy to install. A little slow at making ice. I have had it in for about a week and it hasn't filled up the ice bucket yet. However, I am using it multiple times per day. The production sped up a little after replacing the water filter in my refrigerator. Overall good for the price.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm. This unit was slightly shorter than our original ice maker but the screws fit in the same holes. Just took the old unit out and put the new one in. We did have to use one of the plugins that was supplied with the new unit. The size of the cubes is perfect, almost identical in size to our original GE ice maker.

Works perfectly
We recently purchased a used GE refrigerator freezer. It was said condition, but supposedly worked properly. After getting it home and cleaning it up and hooking it up, we found that it would not make ice. Tried everything to troubleshoot it with no luck. So I found this unit to replace it with. Shipping was quick, installation was easy, and it works perfect! Now we have ice.

save yourself a lot of grief & just don't buy this
Bummer, bummer, bummer!!!! This piece of trash is not worth buying. It is far below the level of acceptability that I have come to expect from things sold on amazon. It failed to make ice, right out of the box, no matter how the adjustment screw was changed.....for low output, mid-output or high output amount of ice. When it finally did begrudgingly (after 6+ hours) provide 6 cubes, they were all frozen together & I had to use an ice pick to separate them. You could NOT separate them with just your hands. As I said, no matter the use of the ice volume output screw, it still failed to provide an even minimal amount of ice in a reasonable period of time. Needless to say, I have spent a weekend having to keep an eye on it, either looking for ice., hoping it would perform as advertised.Overnight, the thing just ran water from the water supply & completely filled the ice holder. Plus, I had ice & semi- frozen water all over all the other items in the freezer because of that. I don't know if those items are salvageable or not. At this point, I am too disheartened to even check. I am in no way mechanically inclined (my expertise is in dismantling mechanical things---------not putting them back together) so I had to pay a repairman to install this one when new. Now, I will have to pay a repairman to take this defective one out & install a new model. Believe me, I will NOT be purchasing this manufacturer's model again.......or any other type of product they tout. I'm done with them & their defective product. I considered this a mid-line priced item. It's not even worth mid-line price ($45-$50). Sadly, the buyer reviews for a potential purchaser to make a well-informed decision before buying it are lacking. However, I guess that is on me for not further searching for buyer reviews, maybe online. Plus, there is the fact that I now have to scrounge around for an appropriately-sized box & bubble-wrap to send it back to amazon. My space is limited so I didn't keep empty boxes just sitting around. I trusted amazon to send me a reliable, working product so I wouldn't have to find shipping materials to return this item to them. BIG MISTAKE!!!. I guess I will now have to keep ALL amazon shipping materials on hand & that's a lot of junk to have hanging around . This is a real pain since I have ordered quite a few items from amazon in the past 2 months due to COVID-19. Needless to say, I certanly hope I have a lot better luck with other items I've ordered from amazon in the recent past.

Well. It kind of works....
Nice and easy installation, but...It tends to JAM, A LOT. Basically that paddle on the front is not properly synchronized with the unloading cycle, so the Ice ends up getting stuck right on top of it (not dropping in to the container) and keeping it from lifted, thus fooling the system that the tray is full. So it just sits there and not making any ice until it eventually clears from the vibration of fridge being used, or manually cleared. As a result, it makes ice very, very slow.So one fix that worked for me is to Glue that White Flap to the Metal Wire lifter in the parallel position. Now it functions correctly and keeps cranking the ice out very quick.
