NICE HARP
NICE HARP, but I'm sticking with my Hohners. I know the reeds are weaker in the Hohner and I've struggled with replacing them sometimes but I think they bend better. I'm just an amateur, but that's my opinion . . .

The Blues Harp Sounds Great and Is Fun to Play, But it is a Little Uncomfortable
I have a Hohner Crossover, a Suzuki Manji and a couple of Seydel Session harmonicas that I've been playing for a couple of months. The Blues Harp has a great, throaty sound that is perfect for the blues. I love it. You can play single notes fairly easily on this harmonica. However, it is probably the least comfortable harmonica I have played. I've tried adjusting it, but that doesn't really fix the problem. I have pretty much decided on using the Seydel Session harmonicas - they are easier to bend and the most comfortable harmonicas I have played. Seedy Session harmonicas have a kind of muted sound, which is nice and bluesy. The Hohner Crossover is kind of brassy and the best sounding harmonica for my taste. The Blues Harp is kind of in the middle. The Manji also has a nice sound, a lot like the Hohner Crossover, but It is a little temperamental; some of the reeds freeze up and don't blow. The Crossover is a great harp and can do anything that you want it to - if you are really good and if you can adjust the reeds - but it isn't as easy to play as the Seydel Sessions. If you can master it, the Crossover is a great sounding harmonica, but if you need a little help, the Seydel Sessions is simply the easiest to play harmonica I have found. To sum up, the Seydel sounds great and is the easiest and most comfortable harmonica I have played. The Blues Harp is not comfortable to play, but it does sound great. It may not be as responsive as some harmonicas, but hey, I'm not Jason Ricci; this harp is better than me. If you just want to jam some blues, this is harp will work. It is built solid, it sounds great and is a blast to play. The Manji is a great sounding harp, but kind of temperamental and needs some adjustment. The Hohner Crossover is the best sounding harp I have ever heard, but you need to adjust the reeds and it is a little more difficult to play than the Seydel Sessions. The Crossover is more comfortable to play than the Blues Harp, but not as comfortable as the Seydel Sessions.

Beautiful instrument
I decided to teach myself to play harmonica this year and this is the model I chose to start with (there are plenty of great web sites that offer great tutorials and song TABs for those who wish to learn.) The German made Hohner's are considered by many to be the best on the market today. C is the easiest key to learn in. This model is easy to play, it has a beautiful tone to it, and they are modular so you can replace parts such as the comb if you need or desire to later on down the road. I had no problem quickly mastering single note blows and draws, still working on my bends but to be honest I haven't invested the practice time that I should have (I also play guitar.) They're fairly rugged as well, mine dropped onto the carpet and I wound up stepping on it, yeah I'm that clumsy, but my 225 lbs did no harm that I have found. The reeds are fairly easy to tune but you definitely need to learn this skill before attempting to tune yours but the novice musician will not even notice when a reed is just slightly out of tune (I've been playing guitar since 1968.)PEACE Y'all

Reed died after a few months
It’s been 20 years since I owned a Hohner blues harp. They used to cost around 20-30 bucks but they’re around 50 now. I used to own a C that lasted for years with no issues. I ordered a C, D, and G last December. They were fulfilled from various Amazon sellers. I played them very lightly the first few months and they never left my house. A few months back the 5 in hole on the G stopped working. Amazon would do nothing since it had been months since the purchase. Ditto for this seller. A 50.00 Hohner harmonica should not have reed issues with less than an hour of play. I finally contacted KHS music who is the American dealer, hoping I could at least pay for a repair and not have to buy an entirely new harp. Isabel with KHS was fantastic! After I emailed a screenshot of the Amazon receipt, I was mailed a brand new G blues harp. I will keep the old one for parts and hopefully this was an isolated issue.

You get what you pay for
There is nothing worse than a cheap harp. This is an excellent instrument. The comb is pear wood and the reeds provide enough back pressure that its easy to play and bend. Don't even buy cheaper Hohner harps, this is the the one you want.

Excelente para empezar y para experimentados
The media could not be loaded.
