Foseal Wired Car OBD2 Scanner,Plug and Play Code Reader, Car Diagnostic Tool for OBDII Protocol Vehicles Since 1996

When my van went into limp mode, with engine management light on, I thought the worst. Searches for tests ranged from £25 to £100 with possible extras depending on the fault. For £20 plus £5 postage I bought the OBD 2 scanner. Easy to use and I found the problem was Diesel Particulate Filter not working corretly. After a quick google search, I found Wynns DPF cleaner. I opted for the 'gold' version. Worked like magic although the engine management light remained. Plugged the device in again and erased fault codes, and hey presto, the van is like new !! This scanner plus a little search online must have saved me a fortune in garage bills !

This worked straight away out of the box and plugged it to the socket in the car. The menus are easy to understand and navigate. Certainly at this money it's a good device for basic checks on a car's vital signs which can help diagnose a problem and fix it before it gets more serious. My checks threw up no error codes but a real-time check of the coolant temperature showed it running a bit cooler than it should be. I suspected that as the heater was a bit hit-and-miss. So I changed the thermostat, topped up the coolant, ran it back up to the now correct temperature and the heater works as it should. In future I will run checks every so often or before a long journey to make sure everything's as it should be. It takes 5 minutes to do.

Simple to use if you want a basic reader to pull codes. I’ve only used the basic functions so far but they worked fine. Seems well made and robust. The codes on my car were manufacturer specific so no full description available on the reader but that was expected. The great thing was it gave me the code so I could look up the detail online. A few minutes work that saved a labour charge at a garage so it paid for itself in minutes!

Used this for my Peugeot 206 year 2000 this is a great tool for reading and clearing faults and diagnostics. I have mechanical knowledge I have read through a good few reviews about this tool and am disappointed by a lot of the bad reviews please EDUCATE YOURSELF on how these tools work is it right for your vehicle it is not a mechanic in a box for 20 odd quid get a grip there's a internet out there and bye a Haynes manual to you cheapskates sorry but if your a Barney bodger your a Barney bodger also be aware you are using this tool to talk to the cars ECU unite codes are there for a reason usually to tell you these components need attention simply clearing them does not mean there ok now the ECU is a very sensitive clever piece of engineering used to monitor and control many other sensitive components often many jobs require special tools to do jobs these cost mechanics a fortune as I and many others know ( I have spent thousands on my tools over the years)yes some mechanics are over priced but many are not you will find some who want to recover these costs but a good mechanic will suffer these costs alone as it's our chosen profession so please bear this in mind before judging what you have no knowledge about ask yourself do you charge for your profession I'm all for people diying I'm one myself but please EDUCATE YOURSELF first you can do irriparable damage to your vehicle if you don't know what your doing love to you all Dom x

What fantastic value really useful piece of kit for any diy mechanics Just plug no need for batteries

Tested with Renault Captur MK1 Pretty easy to use Plugs into the OBD port and allows for reading car error codes Fails when trying to erase error codes. I had an oil deterioration error on my Captur. I was able to find out the issue but when trying to clear the code the device failed and kept displaying an error message. This may work ok with other makes/models but doesn't work on my Captur.

Needed this and after looking at the reviews chose this product, have used others which were specific for the car. This appears to be generic and with an upgrade to 2 years guarantee that's a bonus. Easy to use plug and play, finds codes, view codes look up and a Web search tells you what it is, clear codes etc, engine light etc all good. Had an issue and contacted seller fantastic response to my issue and resolved without hesitation, fantastic communication and resolved, great product for finding faults etc on vehicles, Please remember this is a tool to establish faults, so you understand what they are, this is not a guarantee or a fix, if there are issues you must get them checked with a qualified garage,, but in regards to diagnostic checks yes brilliant, and far far cheaper than most, save you paying a garage to find minor faults and issues, Remember codes can be cleared this is not a fix, if they come back etc you must get them checked Would I buy, or recommend yes without doubt based on my experience and communication with this seller A+++++++

Quick review of a relatively new purchase. It connected immediately to my 2016 Land Rover and gives a lot of information; fortunately no error codes. I like the way you can look up obscure error codes when connected to the vehicle. I checked these against a database and all the ones I reviewed were correct. It also connected to my 2006 BMW but gives only a few data points. The VIN number is shown as unintelligible symbols, whereas the VIN for my LR was correct. Also shows no problem codes for the BMW. It will give live data and a graph of coolant temperature and rpm for both vehicles. This looks like it will be a useful piece of kit for a modest price.

Bought this scanner to use on 99 f150 4x4 5.4l. I was having a recurring check light and the auto parts stores scanner kept giving different codes very frustrating. With the Foseal I was only given 2 codes O2 sensor and evap leak (small). What really helped me was the live data stream in that I could see what the sensors were doing at the time. With this function I found evap leak was not gas cap but a 7in peice of vacuum hose!!! This is a comparable scanner to the higher priced. If you are like me and need every dollar I have and want a good code scanner this is the one for you.

Geprobeerd op een MB W203 waarvan ik weet dat er 6 foutcodes in zitten, apparaat geeft aan dat er geen fouten zijn, dus werkt niet. Verder nog op een Volvo V50 geprobeerd die een cylinder overslaat, weer 0 foutcodes. Redelijk waardeloos voor deze 2 auto's in ieder geval dus ik stuur hem terug.

Suite au changement des bougies de préchauffage de mon Nissan qashqai de 2008, celui mettait un défaut diagnostic moteur et ne tournait plus correctement. Reset des défaut > OK, oui il efface bien les défaut. Défaut présent m'indiquant un problème sur l'injecteur 1 > effectivement , la connexion était très très légèrement déboité (1mm), je l'ai remis et hop réglé ! Payé aussi peu cher, un garage m'aurait pris 100€ ! Cerise sur le gâteau, ma Mazda 6 145Cv de 2006 à un aussi un voyant, le boitier la bien détectée, listé les erreurs, a réussi à les effacer pour ne garder que les derniers, du coup je sais aussi ce qu'est le problème sur ma seconde voiture. Pour moi parfait , simple à utiliser, efficace, et il ne vous reste plus qu'a chercher le code erreur sur internet pour connaitre le problème, génial !! A acheter les yeux fermés !!

Ho preso questo apparecchio per fare una veloce diagnosi e per avere la possibilità di cancellare gli errori e far spegnere la spia motore. Sia chiaro, se uno dei sensori è in avaria o avete un problema, la spia motore si riaccenderà dopo poco tempo. a volte, però, anche dopo aver risolto il problema, la spia rimane accesa e bisogna collegare la diagnosi per cancellare l'errore. funziona senza batterie; basta collegare l'apparecchio alla diagnosi ed il display si accenderà. si seleziona la lingua, il sistemo di misurazione e poco altro. funziona in maniera abbastanza intuitiva. super consigliato anche per controllare che non ci siano degli errori (per tanti, non si accende la spia motore).
