The 8625 at Costco comes with a USB printer cable, a telephone wire to plug into a telephone port so you can use this as a fax machine and a network cable if you choose to connect this printer directly to your router/switch.

What is the difference between the 8620 and 8610?

Besides the price difference, the 8620 has slightly faster printing (21ppm vs 19ppm), larger control panel screen (4.3" touchscreen vs. 2.65" no touch), the auto doc feeder handles 50 sheets vs. 35, and the 8620 will handle legal-size copying vs. letter-size limit for the 8610. I bought the 8620 because I wanted the extra features, and the price difference of approx. $30 was not that much for me. FYI - either of these printers will start-up quickly within 1 minute it is ready to go (no printhead cleaning constantly!). Hope this helps... good luck

how does the duplex scanning feature work for you?

Not always. I have a macbook pro and one of the main reasons I got this printer is to use the full duplex scanning feature since I keep most of my documents in electronic format. I used to use the pdfscanner app with an epson printer. I love the pdfscanner app. It does not seem to work with this printer. I then started using the included HP software to use the scanner. I works for me about 40% of the time. Basically, I have to power cycle the printer a few times. Then if that doesn't work, I power cycle my laptop and eventually the HP software might be able to connect so that I can scan something! I've had no issue printing. I've had lots of issues scanning. I'm planning to return this printer for this very reason.

What's big difference this 8620 vs previous model 8600 plus?

I just upgraded my 8600 plus to the 8620 today and have aleady noticed alot of little enhacements. The automatic document feeder is more reliable and handles larger loads. Duplex printing is much faster. The output tray is less sticky and doesn't jam as easily when you pull it out.
