Yes. Worthy of purchase.
Great for Quest fans. Easy to put together and perfect size. Stand is nice. Need black paint for engine. Otherwise, a really nice model. i saved the box because of the picture. i wish they made this when I was a kid. My son loves the CDs and this model. Suitable for ages 8 and up. Otherwise, keep it shelved for viewing only. Little ones can break the nose cone.

Walk down memory lane...
This kit really brings back memories. Appears to be accurate and easy to build. A bit of a challenge to light but it looks great without the LEDs. Parts fit nicely and almost no "flash" on the one I have. Highly recommend this especially if you are a Jonny Quest fan of any age.

Intelligence One
"The Adventures of Jonny Quest" started out in 1963 as a prime-time evening TV show. It was the only show in history to move between all three original TV networks. Despite its high ratings, it was cancelled at the end of its first season because the cost of the animation was too expensive for the networks to sustain --- that's hard to believe today. Once the show went into Saturday morning cartoonland, parents became troubled at its violence, and so "Jonny Quest" went away, though it was never forgotten.I don't remember the jet from "Jonny Quest" ever having a name, but maybe somewhere along the line it was called "the Dragonfly." A lot of little details like that are buried in the episodes (for example, the Quests worked for an ultrasecret U.S. Government Agency called "Intelligence One").This is a neat little kit for those of us who really remember and enjoyed the show. "Jonny Quest" belonged to an era when the world was much bigger. It placed its characters in exciting situations in mysterious lands of the imagination with names that won't be found on any map. Jonny and his family (including his father, inventor / scientist Dr. Benton Quest, his friend Hadji, his tutor / bodyguard Race Bannon, and their pet dog, Bandit) jetted around the world on this plane, which the kit box described as a "supersonic suborbital aircraft." On the show, the Dragonfly was animated with few details (though I recall landing skids, which are absent from the kit, and a cursive "Q" sometimes on the empennage, also absent). The forward stabilizers and needle nose are reminiscent of the X-15 sound-barrier breaking jet of 1947, while the elongated fuselage and canted wings somewhat resemble the SR-71. Of course, this plane never really existed, but it has great display aesthetics. The box art is totally cool, so, collectors, hold on to the box. There isn't much to this $30.00 kit, a quick build of only 15 separate parts. The fuselage (of two halves) has well-scribed panel lines that can be brought out with a simple wash of very light grey. The parts fit well together. Only a little putty is needed to fill in a gap here and there. The wings are two separate and single parts, and slide cleanly into their slots on the fuselage. There is no flash, and only a slight imperfection in the plastic here and there.Originally, I painted "the Dragonfly" a flat white, which did nothing to make the model "pop," despite its great aerodynamic design. A second coat of gloss white helped a little, but only a little, to make it eye-catching. The kit suffers from a deplorable lack of color overall, and it has no decals (except for a "Jonny Quest" logo for the base). A little disappointed in the fact that it got lost on my display shelf, I finally decided to paint it gloss black a la the SR-71. The needle nose was finished in gold, and the fuselage windows in yellow, a combination that woke it all up. I decaled the empennage with an American flag from an aftermarket sheet. In the end, the kit I finished isn't quite the Dragonfly Jonny and his friends would recognize, but it has its own very impressive personality.

Very cool
Another great Moebius kit. Crisp molding with engraved panel lines, just the right level of detail. I've been waiting for this kit since I was a kid.

Desk type display model with usual assembly and painting about a foot long when completed
It can be strange whenever something only seen in 2D comics or animation is actually rendered in 3D. You may find yourself disagreeing with the wing angle/dihedral/area, or the fin size, although historically a number of supersonic design prototypes lacked enough tail surface for proper yaw control. My observation is that there is no "coke bottle" shape to the fuselage that was discovered during supersonic wind tunnel test, which led to the complete reworking of some fuselages before the tv series ever came out. Also be aware that there is no landing gear or skids provided. But some modelers love to tinker, so why not make your's look unique?Someone needs to render this plane in CAD and see what they come up with for flight characteristics and necessary changes. The massive engine will be a wild card.
