EasyUnique Digital LED Display 6-Sensor Car Backup System (Silver)

Nice product so far. Not the lowest cost item but it is the only one I found that indicates distance in feet and not meters. Quite the learning curve on installation. First is that none of the specs indicate the sensor size or hole size (21mm). It comes with a 21mm hole saw that may be okay for plastic bumper but not for metal. Trying to anticipate what i read in reviews I ordered a standard step drill bit. Buyer beware! There are not standard equivalents for 21mm (13/16is a bit small) and 7/8 is too large(22.mm) but there are metric step bits! (Spend the money!order one!) I wore out several Dremel grinding bits getting my 21mm holes. Second strong warning. Before I started drilling holes in my chrome bumpers, I used a 12 volt power supply to test everything (highly, highly recommend this). It all worked fine.... Using a Dremel to grind out the undersized hole was not an exact science and the holes were not perfectly round. Consequently some of the holes were a bit snug in spots but I didnt thinkt it would bean issue. Once I pulled all the wires and completed the installation, I tested before closing all the trim panels. The left front sensor and both of the left rear sensors showed false readings all of the time. During the troubleshooting process I pushed the problem sensors back out of the mounting holes and the problems immediately went away. After a bit of trial and error I discoverd that as soon as I distorted a sensor forcing it in the hole it started giving a false reading. A number of strokes with a 1/4 round file made the holes more appropriate size and everything is working beautifully. One other note: if you are installing in a pickup truck, consider mounting lower in the bumper. The LED display is small enough to fit nicely on the top of the rear view mirror. Less dash clutter more intuitive location.

Ill have to admit. The kit is complete and has pretty good instructions. If you plan on drilling a hole in a metal bumper, make sure to continuously spray the drill bit and metal bumper with soap and water in order to protect your drill bit by cool it. You don't want to damage the drill bit before you've cut out all the holes. After routing all the wiring, I was hoping it would work flawlessly. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The proximity sensors do work and the digital display does work; however, the reaction time is too slow. It lags too much. This makes this item impracticable. The display takes too much time to update. Example, your reversing and you have 6 feet before you hit something. The display shows 6 feet. you back up 3 feet slowly. The display doesn't update fast enough to let you know you just backed up 3 feet. by the time it does, you are 1 foot away from your obstruction. If a review like this was posted, i wouldn't have invested the time to install these sensors and waste the money on this product.

The item works fairly well with the four sensors located at the back of the vehicule but it does not works as well with the two sensors mounted at the front. It keep "detecting" when there is nothing to detect. It may need an adjustment to correct the false detecting but I have not figure it out just yet.

Easy to install though on my pickup the wires were not long enough. You would think they would figure that these would be used on a longer vehicle but that's the way it goes. Extended the wires using audio cable and cutting off the RCA jacks.The supplied hole saw is for plastic, don't try to drill through a metal bumper with it.I am getting false hits on the front but I think that is due to poor placement on my part, the angle is slightly downward, I think it sees the pavement once and a while.

I installed the six sensors and hooked everything up but unit only sends a high pitch sound constantly. I've unplugged the front two and still having the same problem. Instructions were great but no "FAQ" section or help with issues instructions. I would like to get them working properly so if sellers contact me I'd love to hear from them. I would now give this item a less than 1 star if I could. Never has worked and don't know how to reach manufacture.

Product arrived on time but there no installation instructions in the box. So I took it to an Auto Custom shop and paid for installation. They did a great job installing them on the car but a couple of the sensors generate constant beeps (even when I drive forward on the highway and break from 65mph to 50 mph!!) Can Amazon or the Vendor provide me with tips on how to fine tune these sensors? I have been to the shop twice and we still have problems tunning them. The sensors seem to detect the asphalt, and when we tune them vertically or horizontally they do not detect anymore. Need suggestions from vendor or Amazon!

Durable and reliable... Has not given me any major problem.. The LED display has lost a digit but that is not a major issue.. I have had it on my car for two years now..
