Great Value, Great Product
This makes a TON of food. A cup of the crumble expands when you rehydrate it. A bag this big will last a long time, and it's great that it's shelf-stable.It's not seasoned and has a mild flavor. That makes it versatile since you can season it to suit whatever dish you're making.Prep is an extremely simple 1:1 ratio of hot water to product. Just mix, let sit, and drain if needed. I prep it in a glass storage container, eliminating cleanup.I saw another review complaining about the serving size being a tablespoon, whereas comparable products do serving sizes of a cup or so. There are 16 tbsp in a cup, so do the math and figure out a comparable serving size shortcut if you'd like. This is way more protein-rich per serving than the alternatives I've eaten the past.

Great product
This TVP has no added flavor. I use it to stretch ground meats and simply reconstitute it with the flavor bullion or broth I'd like. It makes a good hamburger, chicken, or turkey burger when eggs and flavorings are added to bind it together - makes good meatloaf too. The crumbles are uniformly small and so it blends into what ever burger your making very well.

Great hamburger replacement in cooking
So easy to use! I'm thrilled to order from a small business in my home state. Grab a scoop and add water or veggie boullion for a great flavor. I use it to make meatloaf, tacos, sloppy joes, add it to chili. Use it anywhere you'd use hamburger. (but you need to add other things to it if you're going to make hamburgers with it).

Really big
I am vegetarian. Used this TVP as a substitute for ground beef when a made sloppy Joe's. Came out great. Didn't expect the bag to be so big, with such a affordable price. LOVE IT

Great soy protein alternative
this stuff is great, easier to use than I thought. I had gone to the Asian specialty store to buy TVP, and they didn't have it. i'm guessing because they want you to buy the products instead of be inspired to make your own. I heated some hot water in the microwave until it's almost boiling hot, and added a bunch of this, covered with plastic. It becomes like meat or ground crumble. I mixed it with some teriyaki sauce and use a protein addition to dishes. I never really used this type of product before, and had hopes for it but didn't know how it works. No, not for livestock. EASY PEASY! Now maybe I can have a better attempt at making veggie burgers, and will look at some other products they have.

A great meat alternative
Tasty. It doesn’t have much flavor by itself so it’s great for recipes.

Not a good product
Awful product. I received mostly dust in the packages. The TVP arrives in bags that are double the size of the amount of product you receive. Also, the manufacturer eliminates any pictures of the ingredients. This product contains added sulfites for the caramel color. When wet, it looks like a reddish-grey mush. If it was possible to return, I would not hesitate. If you’re looking for recipes or even directions to use this, you won’t find any here.
