Sonic the Hedgehog - Playstation 3

Now I read alot of reviews for this game and I was worried about something I read that sonic can die from hitting a wall fast enough well thats a LOAD OF BULL.Only in 3 or 4 levels that CAN happen if you let it now to start this game is NOT FULL OF BUGS OR GLITCHES the loading time are not long I timed them and the longest one was 10 seconds only on 2 loading time. storyline 10/10 shadows was my favorite then sonic then silvers,shadows was about working for GUN and stoping mephiles the dark,sonics was about saving princess elise and stoping docter eggman, and silvers was about defeating the "IBLIS TRIGGER" and saving the future. music 10/10 IT is all catchy and very well done the only songs I didnt like were 2 about elise. Controles 9.5/10 were very easy except one level the the camera dosent work right but it is good everywhere else the homing attack was the best it has ever been and tails is not crazy while flying I didnt like silver not having a homing attack but I got used to it. Levels 10/10 every level was done very well no glitches except 1 some doors you can see behind doors for a split second. Graphics 10/10 when running in a forest you can see the grass blades being ripped up behind you and when you destroy a mech it blows up and the pieces are laying around for a short time and when you destroy a box the bits and pieces are laying around for a short time and when you lose rings the can get knocked around. Charecters 10/10 everyone was done very well I didnt HATE SONIC AND ELISES "LOVE INTREST" BUT IT WAS FUNNY and I liked that shadow didnt worry about hes past and the reforming of TEAM DARK. Cutscenes 110/100 elise looked like FF 13 charecters sonic looked more real than gameplay. TO close it it is my most favorite sonic game sega every made and every person who HATES THIS GAME IS EITHER A WOW NERD OR A ACTIVISION GAY!!!!!!!!!!!

First let me state, I think sonic the hedgehog 2006 has a better version on the 360. However despite this, I think it’s a pretty fun game- I played both on the 360 and ps3 version. First yes it has bad some bad/infamous glitches but I personally think that gives it a bit of a challenge and can be hilarious. And it is playable, just a bit frustrating at times- I just consider it hard mode. If you have young kids a ps3 and they insist playing this game and you let them and then they proceed to get frustrated- tell them it’s just a super hard game that only adults can finish and suddenly it becomes a challenge for them to complete. If you have to babysit this gives you a bit of time off/ a way to prevent them from destroying your game console. The story a bit: ehhh. Could use some improvements but they did try something new at the time, just needed a little bit of Polish and time. But it does make you invested, and the graphics go between being stunning and kinda dipping at times. I don’t have nostalgia for this game, I played it not too long ago- and to my surprise I found it not only beatable but fun. I’ve babysit kids that love sonic and seem to enjoy the game- despite the countless hours on one section or puzzle. If the game had more time, and wasn’t split up- maybe it could have been a masterpiece but considering at the time the sonic fans had grown up become edgy teens they probably wouldn’t have given it a chance. Still wish it was still on PlayStation store. If you know someone who loves sonic and has a console to support this game then I would recommend buying it as a gift.

As you can see in the title of this review, I think Sonic 06 is a travesty. There's visual problems in it--it all looks awful, the plot is terrible, the controls are garbage, some parts of the soundtrack are okay, the glitches are crazy and literally every where. Walk for three seconds, and you'll find a glitch, I promise. It's awful, and this game has zero redeeming qualities... So why give it a great five-star review? The fun times, of course! The rage-induced screams from your friend--or yourself--holding the controller, just trying to make it through one more level! The laughs and tears (from anger, despair, whatever negative emotion this game might cause, and also from the sheer stupidity of a lot of this game), the memories you make with this game are what makes it great. [insert Silver the Hedgehog's voice clip here] Great!

When i bought this game i honestly really wanted to like it. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 would have to be close to my favourite games ever and i was really looking forward to the new graphics. The thing that upsets me about this game is that it had the potential to be sooooo much better. There are actually parts of it that are great fun but the problem is they are just so badly overshadowed by the parts that are just plain frustrating. Whats Good about it The Graphics are excellent. They are several steps above anything previous in the sonic franchise. Three interwound storylines. One of the best aspects i found in the first sonic adventure was that you had 6 different characters to play and playing each through would give you their veiw of the story. It was someting that i missed in sonic adventure 2 and was very happy to see it return. Whats Bad about it I honestly just found that in too many places it was just too easy to die. I don't want to be mind numbingly easy, but the way it was done was just bad. In previous sonic games the mechanics are get hit - loose rings - grab one of your rings back - move on. However in this game it is too frequently get hit - no chance to recover - hit again - dead. Example: early on you fight silver. If you go within about 5 metres of him he will freeze you for about 3 seconds then fling you backwards. unfortunately alot of the time he will fling you upwards or you will bounce off a wall which will land you back within his radius, he will freeze you again and the is absoloutlely NOTHING you can do about it. The other problem i had was that too frequently there is a very difficult part right near the end of the stage. So if you loose you lives you need to go through about 3 cut scenes each with their 10 second loading time, then play the entire stage to get back to the challenging bit again. Camera Angles: well isn't this an issue that has plagued sonic since he went 3D? guess what? its still bad. Some parts just made me want to throw the controller at the screen. Example: using Tails in an early stage the camera is always beneath him which results in you looking through rocks to see him and having incredible difficulty in landing on anyting as you can't see it. Minigames: In the town there are a number of small chalenges that you do. Not propper stages but they are just plain boring. Minimap of town: a good little addition but i don't understand why you can't pause and see a full map of town. Or zoom out a little Breaks in the flow of the game: a lot of points where the game just stops. Usually i love the way sonic runs from one action sequence to the next. Never stopping and never looking back. In some places this game is good, in fact in some places its great but in some places it just stops dead. Example: some of the snowboarding sequences it is easy to get turned around and then you are stuck facing uphill where sonic doesn't want to turn and won't jump. great. I personally found that the crontroller was a shade too sensitive. Overall Whoever released this game should be fired. Seriously. It has sooooo much potential but because it is frustrating to play it gets bad reveiws. Did you guys do any product testing what so ever? All this game needs is afew small tweaks (alright quite a lot of small tweaks) and it could easily move from a 2 star game to a 4 or 5 star game. I can see why so many people rate this as one star. Its not fun to get started. Lets compare it to Sonic Adventure 2, which started out with city escape, an incredibly fun free flowing stage and was resonably easy to get through without dying. Sonic the Hedgehog starts whith a much more difficult stage that, even though i had played other sonic games quite extensively, killed off all my lives and sent me back several cut scenes and long load times to 0% completed. Its just such a bad first impression for newcomers. I played sonic and the secret rings on Wii and even thoguh i hate the gimiky controller i found it a far better game. I guess it has been put this way before, but if you really love sonic this game is playable - just. However if you are impartial or new to the franchise stay away from this title. It will sour you towards the whole sonic franchise.

This has to be one of the most graphically beautiful Sonic games I have ever played. Only the first cutscene has any effort put into it, and it looks like something out of a modern Final Fantasy title. The game contains a massive array of exciting in-game features including clipping through walls, violently shifting between the corners of two surfaces, loading screens that take you to one sentence of dialogue followed by another loading screen, frequent looping voice lines, cheap boss fights for extreme tension, and jarring, sudden camera angle switches during fast-paced sections that add artificial difficulty and often result in sending you off of ledges. This game is a masterpiece that still holds up to this day. As an additional bonus, the flawless disc makes for a wonderful placemat for food or drinks. I've used the disc to also cut some fruits and vegetables, helping me create delicious salads! It also can be hung in the yard to keep birds away from my deck, preventing it from accumulating pesky bird poop. But most importantly, this game saved my marriage. It brought me and my spouse back together to laugh and smile and share in this magical experience. Truly, this game has changed my life, and has made practical chores so much easier. I recommend it for anyone and everyone.
