The Ultimate Spanish Verb Review and Practice, Second Edition (Ultimate Review and Practice)

This book as been a great addition to my Spanish program. I am in intermediate level Spanish and I often struggle between the uses of each tense. This book gives great explanations and exercises. I am so happy I bought it and I feel my understanding is improving!

If you already speak some Spanish, but don't know how to conjugate verbs properly because you aren't speaking it daily, this is a good book for this. There is an online component offered in combo with the book as well. But I feel like I learn from books better than I do online. If you're a beginner, I'd use a beginner's level workbook for basic words, phrases, and sentence structure/grammar. Then graduate to this book for conjugation. And then using the language with other humans is the element you need for full 'immersion' and understanding. This is a good step up from the beginner to intermediate level.

This book is perfect. I've been using Duolingo (just passed checkpoint 4) and this book is exactly what I need to get extra practice with all the verb tenses. There are verb lists in each chapter to help with vocab, lots of exercises that you can do as many times as you need, and an answer key in the back. I wish I had found this a while ago.

I am not complaining about its content, it is great. Years ago, when I was learning French, I bought the same series, and fell in love with it. This time, however, the paper quality, packaging , layout, and printing quality were so poor compared to the French series that i was wondering whether I had bought a pirated copy. I read the review of user1, and I totally agree with him or her. Shame on McGraw Hill！Used to be my no.1 publishing company for textbooks.

Probably the best review for mastering Spanish verbs. Lots of exercises, very useful examples with vocabulary you can use every day. For intermediate to semi-advanced learners. Highly recommended.

I really like how the book is structured as it started with the easiest concepts. It has helpful tips, a lot of verb phrases in the book, and practice exercises to reinforce concepts. This book really improved my Spanish and helped to take it to the next level.

I have bought other Spanish grammar books and have been frustrated by the lack of detail in the explanations. This book identifies how and when each verb tense is to be used, exceptions to the rules, and gives examples. In addition, there are exercises to make sure you understand the various points. It's a great reference book for a Spanish language learner.

This is a wonderful book. I can understand the present tense of many verbs but when we start to change cases...forget it. This is the perfect reminder for me as to the rules. Additionally, it is invaluable if you are self learning a language. We are using it as part of our home school curriculum.

This is an excellent book if you are trying to practice Spanish verbs and are at an intermediate level. My boyfriend only speaks Spanish so I get a lot of practice but I am still lacking a lot of vocabulary and verb conjugation knowledge. This book as already helped my Spanish so much, definitely worth it!

The book itself is very good. I had first borrowed a copy from a friend to see if it was worthwhile, and decided to order my own copy.However, I'm disappointed to see that the printing quality does not compare to my friend's copy, which was purchased several years ago. The publisher seems to be trying to save a few dollars by printing in faint/light format and gives a cheap look overall

The return period is only a month, I had purchased this as a gift for my mother who, on receiving it, found out it would not be helpful for what she wanted and now, only by 2 days, I am not able to return it! Very disappointed because now I have no use for it!

Excellent book for self studying. It explains all the things the way that they are easy to understand.
