Perfection in Miniature!
This is an outstanding kit, of the caliber of the best I have seen from Tamiya. On a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being the best, here's how I would rate it:Accuracy: 5Detail: 5Part Definition (lack of flash): 5Fit: 5Plastic Quality: 5Decals: 5Instructions: 5One of the best parts of this model is that the tracks are each molded as a single piece in the correct loop shape, i.e. they are not rubber band tracks like those found on most 1/76 scale tanks. They are molded in the same rigid plastic as the rest of the parts in the kit and the fit is exquisite! The only caution regarding this kit is I do not think it is a Skill Level 1 kit, as the box indicates, because it has some very small parts which for most people will require tweezers and possibly a magnifying glass. Nevertheless, because the fit is truly perfect, assembly is very easy. I highly recommend this kit and hope Airfix makes more like it (particularly regarding the tracks). This kit is a huge step above other Airfix kits I have seen.

A kit that has four variants
The Airfix 1:72 scale Willys British Airborne Jeep Kit has the exact possible variants that I was looking for. You can make a standard US or British Jeep, add a trailer, switch out the machine gun for 30 cal. to 50 cal. and it has a pack howitzer. I have bought two kits. I am going to make one as a litter Jeep and the second as a typical Jeep with trailer. The kit is perfect for what I intend to build.

Looks good, But Tiny Pieces - Really?
Once assembled this looks pretty good. Instructions are also good. Some parts so very small that they are nearly impossible to remove from molding and if dropped, impossible to find - and so very difficult to mount as well, then too very easily broken in handling. Main gun mount design is clever, but not adequate. I used a small section of sprue glued to the inside of the turret to brace the pivot cylinder. Take care when removing the mount bracket for that cylinder from the molding, too - it easily can crack. Note that if a rubber cement is carefully used to mount the main gun, barrels can be switched.Track treads are molded and are fitted much more easily than the vinyl strip types on other models.Apart from the number of tiny tack-on pieces, and instructions that perhaps a more experienced builder would not be left questioning what to do, this model is better than the German Panzer IV, with so many small wheels with glue joints taxed by the stretched vinyl tread band in terms of ease of assembly and durability.

Nice kit for the money.
Nice little kit for the money - I'm 90% finished, with just a bit of weathering to do and then my completed kit will ride atop the trailer of a Scammell tank transporter. My first British tank and a worthy introduction.

Nice tank but bad fit and somewhat tedious
My first tank build. Fit was ok except for rear fenders and the tracks. Took a lot of work to get those on and fenders I had to cut. 1:76 scale makes this one of the smaller models I have built. Pretty tedious but reward is in the great detail. Panel lines and such are top notch and allow for excellent weathering. Top decal requires decal set or it won’t work on the irregular surface. Overall a fun build but think I will avoid tanks for a little while. Attaching pictures to show size relative to my hand.

I found these new releases of Airfix excellent. Both my kits had no flash to speak ...
For me, not being very picky about minutes details or discrepancies, I found these new releases of Airfix excellent. Both my kits had no flash to speak of on the moldings, and mold lines were minimal. Mine are being built as the US version, to be detailed a bit as recon team jeeps. For those who do worry about precise accuracy, there are reviews on different modeling sites, so research them. For the rest of us, who aren't, if you want a excellent jeep kit, you won't go wrong with this kit.

Easy to put zusammen
Easy to put zusammen. You can attach either a .50 cal or a .30 MG. Trailer looks good, too. Fill it with rations and ammo!

WWII jeep
I have not started this build yet but I look forward to the project. I'm using this model as a visual gauge for a diorama of bomber aircraft I'm building. The model is incredibly detailed for it's size and has great complimentary equipment to accompany it. I'm very pleased with the Airfix product.
