Braver, Stronger, Smarter

I had reviewed this book for a work project once and quickly realized that the coping techniques and exercises in the book to help work yourself down from anxious thoughts wouldn’t just be beneficial for younger girls, but for other godly girls in my own context—girls in their 20’s and 30’s who deal with anxiety. I cannot begin to explain how much this book has helped me process through anxious thoughts. Truly, moms and dads, don’t just have your daughters do this book. Do a favor for yourself and buy a copy to help with YOUR own anxieties as well, and do it WITH your daughter. We all have “worry monsters”, no matter how old we get, and we can always walk in more freedom in Christ’s peace. This book will help you do it!

This book popped up on my feed, but, I finally bought it when it was recommended by our pediatrician. When reading the intro with my 9 year old, my daughter answered YES! to almost every worry-question. I was thinking, “wow, I’m glad we’re starting this book then!” I love everything that Sissy Goff writes, so I’m prayerful, as we finish this book, that my daughter will agree too. Thanks for giving us the tools we need to help our kids grow up well!

This workbook has been very helpful to my daughter who suffers with social anxiety! It really gives her the coping mechanism she needs! We have not finished the whole thing yet, but I see it being very helpful in her future!

Just a few pages in and this book has given my daughter tools to get through her days. She has expressed how it has helped her and even brought me to realize these are the things that I may have needed to read. Already purchased the equivalent for adults from Sissy Goff.

My newly 10 yr old Dgt really needed something to help with her anxiety . This (by another Mom’s recommendations) is It! We chose this prayer/gratitude journal because of the Christian influence, the writing prompts and the easy reading. This book is amazing and it’s something that we can do together or she can do by herself. Will be recommending this a million times over!

Seems ok, I returned it because it was more of a workbook than an educational motivation book for kids. I must have misread the description for sure.

Wow! My 9-year-old daughter's anxiety was getting so bad at night that was shaking, crying, and being awoken in the middle of the night with fears of throwing up. I felt hopeless that nothing was going to help her (and exhausted!) I bought Sissy's workbook and it has been a miracle. We have been completing one chapter before bed (we are on day 4) and she has fallen asleep every night peacefully with zero "attacks." I am amazed. From Day 1!!! Do you know what I think is so powerful about the workbook? My daughter felt KNOWN and SEEN. Immediately. I don't struggle with anxiety so I don't really get what she's going through and I can't give her the appropriate compassion and understanding. Sissy gave that to her! This workbook has showed her that she isn't defected or crazy. But instead, she is Smart. Strong. Caring. Courageous. Get the book! God will minister to your child through it!
