Keeps the rats from coming in...
Noticed that rats were coming inside my home via the drainage hole which had no cover. This totally stopped it. I highly recommend!

We have had issues with the leaves covering our existing drain. I collect up all the leaves on a regular basis, but we are not always home. So I’m hoping this will be the interim mitigation for those days.

Keeping the drain clear
I installed several of these at a big chain restaurant. They work great! Be sure to get the right tool to tighten them downGREAT PRODUCT!!!!

For Outdoor Use
I purchased the Guardian Drain Lock for my outdoor drain that would get covered with leave or debris and clog. Thus causing a back up and flooding in the basement. Since my purchase of the Guardian Drain Lock I have had only one flood in my basement. The drain is working as I anticipated it would to solve the problem. To improve its performance for out doors use I recommend adding a screen on the inside of the dome, cause small debris will block the drain. I have to check the drain frequently to prevent flooding.

Why does the company not include a VEGA T45 TORX Security Bit
I went to put this drain cover in. It seems like it will fit in my driveway to keep out leaves but you need a special VEGA T45 TORX Security Bit to install it properly. Who has one of those? Why would a cheap knock off version not be included with the $69 drain cover. I now have to wait 4 more days and $10 more dollars for the bit. At least bold the words (Torx Bit Sold Separately) in the web page. Please be kinder to your customers!
