Let me start by saying I previously ordered this urn for my girlfriend who lost her mother years ago and as a present I bought this urn to replace the one she had been using. When I received it I was pleasently surprised by how large it was. I saw a smaller wood box urn at the funeral home that was 7 times the price of this one and was just a plain wood urn. Now, my grandmother passed away 2 days ago and I knew immediatley that I wanted to order this urn for her. I was so scared I would not get it in time seeing how the memorial is in 1 week. I sent an email to the seller stating I couldnt order it if they didnt think I would have it by then. The seller emailed me in less than 1 hour after I sent my email offering to ship it over night and offered the phone number for me to contact them directly. Then, shipped the urn RIGHT AFTER THAT. I was amazed at the fast and GREAT service I received from then. If you are looking for a beautiful and timeless urn that will fit perfectly in your home decor I would recommend this product and this company to anyone!!!! At a time where everything is so hectic this company really made my day.

My mom was very pleased with the quality of this urn. We ordered this for my late father since the funeral home wanted about $180 for even a basic wooden model. My mom is very old school and expressed how pleased she was at the quality of the wood and the finish. The box is made in India and well put together. The opening in the bottom is large and the bag you get from the crematorium easily fits in, I was slow and gentle while putting it in to avoid breaking the bag. One thing that was a pleasant surprise is that the urn comes with a black velvet looking bag for covering it as desired. The expedited shipping was pricey but I did not want to take a change on it arriving late, and it arrived the day after I ordered it. Very pleased.

This Urn is very nice. I was kind of hoping the top portion opened for my ashes but you have to take four small screws out of the bottom and remove the bottom piece to fill it. Not a big deal at all, just not what I thought. It indicates these are "seconds" but it looks perfect to me. The only thing I noticed was that once I reinstalled the screws to the bottom it appears that it didn't seal completely tight. This might not be the case but it may be possible for an ash or two to get out. This is my opinion only and I purchased this with the understanding is was not a "first line urn". The price was terrific and I would buy it again but will have no need since I will be in this one. Let's do 4.5 Stars. :-)

I purchased this Urn for less than half what the Funeral home was charging for the same item. It came on time and the finish and look exceeded my expectations. Best of all it was perfect to ship my brothers ashes to our home across the country without any problems. It fits a normal persons ashes (5'8", 180 lbs.) in the original plastic bag enclosure with no problem.

This is an absolutely beautiful urn. I actually bought this for my Rottweiler who I had cremated after a long, happy life together. I wanted to buy him a nice urn to keep his ashes in, but didn't see any reason to spend a considerably large sum of money on an urn. I thought of this as a good in-between. Not cheap, but not overly extravagant either. I was amazed when I opened the box. Not only does this urn look fantastically beautiful, but it is solidly built, and has a good weight to it. The wood, the carved cross, it looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to put a human loved one's ashes in here. If you buy this, I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

This urn is beautiful and very well-made! It got to me within 3 days of ordering with a personalized plaque. I appreciate the reverent, classic hand-carved design, and our family was proud to have it in our church sanctuary for my Dad's Celebration of Life service and now in our home.It was pretty easy to put the ashes (in the bag from the crematory) into the urn with a little "working" of it through the opening in the bottom. The closure is secured with 4 small phillips screws.Be sure when ordering to let the seller know you want a plaque as soon as you order it.
