USA-1 AM-FM Cassette Stereo Radio by Custom Autosound

Piece of junk!!! My husband had a professional installer put this stereo in his 68 Mustang. Stereo went in perfectly and it looked great but, it stopped working after 2 days!!!! It wouldn't power up. My husband took it back to the professional installer who checked all wires and fuses in the car and stereo. His conclusion was the stereo has an internal problem. I filed an Amazon claim which the company, Custom Autosound, quickly closed because I have a two year warranty. Looked at the back of the owner's manual and sure enough, I could get it replaced. I called the company and the woman said they don't replace their stereos, only repair them. She also told me I would have to send it back at my cost($20). She also told me that there couldn't possibly be a problem with their stereo, because their stereos have no problems. We just sent it back and I have little faith in the issue being resolved. Looks like I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have. Save yourself the headaches and don't buy this stereo!6/1/2018. Repaired stereo quit working in a car my husband doesn't even drive much. Professional installer said it's fried. Don't waste your money.

i had ordered a USA-1 with a cassette player, but.I received a USA-230...and actually it worked out better because there's an AUX input for an mp3 player. The installation went smoothly ...it fit the dash of my 73 Impala precisely. Sounds good too. Reception is good considering the windshield antenna. So even though the radio wasn't exactly what I ordered -- the addition of an mp3 player gives me many more options.
