I am changing my review from :"5 months old and leather has split mid way making it unusable. Window to return has closed months ago so not such a great purchase after all. Buckle OK so will have to buy new leather. Shame, thought this was a quality item."After leaving this review the seller contacted me and sent free of charge a replacement belt so although disappointed the first one broke I am more than happy to change this to a 5 star review as the customer service was excellent and I again have a working belt.I did buy a second one a couple of months after the first and this one is still perfectly fine with no imperfections so I wonder now if I was just unlucky with the first one.It really is a nice item, the buckle and release mechanism work well and looks smart and modern.So back to 5 stars, the follow up service was very courteous and professional!

It took couple of weeks for the smell to be tolerable! But, since then (it has been almost 6 months now) I have been wearing it almost daily. I like it, it works well, and seems very durable. The material is definitely leather and feel heavy duty. Should last a long time. The buckle is a bit on the heavy side, but when you wear it, it does not make a difference. I have not had any issues with the quality; after so many months it still looks like new. This is also my first ratchet belt. I find the mechanism easy to work and the adjustability much better compared to the regular belts. I am happy with the product and also with the ratchet mechanism, so much that I also bought a brown ratchet belt!
