The Germans are known for making good things. I've looked at it for years, I heard some on Youtube, and I've heard that the case they're in is terrible and the buffer sucks worse than a Boss buffer, so I didn't buy one for a while. Then I heard that it came in big aluminum case with a true bypass switch, and I was intrigued.It's so odd, because the Nobels ODR-M sounds like my amp overdriving naturally. It's a 50-watt Vox clone, btw. I literally played my amp with the clean channel clean, then playing it on the clean channel with the AX7s hot and gritty, then played my amp with a clean-clean channel with the ODR-M on and it was nigh-on identical to my amp overdriving naturally! It's called a "natural overdrive," and I see why. It does have a *slight* mid bump, but not as big as the mid bump that other green overdrive pedal gives. I don't know what to say, it's unlike anything else I have ever played, and it sounds great!I collect pedals. Right now, I have about 55-60 or so, and 42 on my pedalboard, named VOLTaire 2.2. I don't know if this will be on my board yet (it will be on VOLTaire 3.0!) but I haven't used anything else like it. It's unique, and for someone who is looking for an overdrive, but they're tired with the tone they get from a certain blue Boss pedal or a green Ibanez pedal, they should go for the green German pedal.Also, the picks are nice, with just the right amount of flexibility, the power supply isn't noisy and the patch cables are patch cables.

First off, great seller with blucoil! Will definitely buy from them again.Now, to the pedal. There's a reason this is such a popular overdrive for the Nashville studio scene... This is a very easy-going overdrive, it gets along with all of my guitars, pickups and other pedals! There is a significant bass boost, which can be really great for thickening up single coils. That bass boost could be too much for a humbucker guitar, but that's why amps have bass knobs.The spectrum knob seems to only affect certain frequencies, so don't think of it as a "tone" knob.Overall, it's just a really great drive. At this price, it's definitely worth giving it a shot!

I have a large collection of expensive boutique overdrive pedals and this pedal holds its own against some of the best overdrives on the market. It's hard to believe that it sells for such a low price. It's warm and natural with plenty of gain if that's your thing. It also doesn't have that boxy midrange compression that you get from tube screamer drives. It just sounds good without a lot of adjustment. I love it!

Kinda of like a transparent drive and tubescreamer in one. The sound is clear, not muddy. It is not all mid hump like a tubescreamer... its a nice smooth crunch. For someone looking that medium crunch sound but it can get dirty too.

I've played several overdrive pedals. This is the best, hands down. Transforms my clean channel into a tube overdrive with one click. Natural. Raw. Beautiful.

As it's reputation says it sounds great and takes up minimal real estate on your board. Good value for the money - especially in this package with patch cords etc.
