NOVA, PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW re Nova Ortho-med Ch-2000 Economy Cup Holder
I have purchased 5 Nova Ortho-med Ch-2000 Economy Cup Holders, so obviously I think they are very useful. I have installed them on 5 rollators (not the basic aluminum walker seen in product photo) at an assisted living facility where I volunteer my time to 80+ year-old residents.Based on my experience installing 5 Nova Ortho-med Ch-2000 Economy Cup Holders on 5 different rollators, I rated this product only 4 stars because I spent more time and money to get a good installation for these residents. This is a fairly simple process for a handy person with good fine motor skills, who can do these tasks without good instructions included, and has good problem-solving skills. The first Nova Ortho-med Ch-2000 Economy Cup Holder I bought included a screw much too long so it stuck out enough to injure. Easy, quick, cheap solution was to open some wine and use the cork to cover the screw to avoid anyone being scratched. I cut the cork in half and the screw fit right in the hole in the cork. A great conversation piece! I later purchased a 1/4" screw protector. The next 4 Nova Ortho-med Ch-2000 Economy Cup Holders included a shorter screw so I figured NOVA solved the thread problem...NOPE. We have a NEW problem with this screw. The threads were not high enough up (partially threaded) so the holder clamp would not close tightly enough around the tube on rollators (cup holder swiveled, NOT good!).Another EASY solution...I went to my favorite orange HD store and bought METRIC sized screws with more thread (totally threaded). METRIC is the key word here because US standard size will NOT work with the threaded knob!OPTIONS simplified:If the partially threaded screw included in your NOVA kit doesn't have enough thread to close the clamp tightly enough on your rollator tube, buy CrownBolt HexBolt M6-1.0 x 40MM CB#35828 OR a longer version M6-1.0 X 50MM (using this length, you might need a cork or 1/4" CrownBolt white screw protector CB#78068).As an add-on item to my Amazon purchases,I paid $8.95 each for Nova Ortho-med Ch-2000 Economy Cup Holders, plus $1.15 for a screw and protector.I'm confident NOVA can replace the screw and include a screw protector OR include more details in the directions regarding solutions to possible snags during installation.NOVA, PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW.

Screw head for mounting not slotted=> Can't tighten fully => holder will shift
Requires frequent readjustments because the screw doesn't have a "+" or "-" for a screw driver on it's head. The design of this cup holder is similar to that of many bike handle accessories, with a ring that that tightens over the bar it is mounted to. This ring uses a screw and a large plastic wing nut, to tighten the ring that holds the cup holder to the walker. ***When twisting the wing nut to tighten the ring, you will eventually get to a point where the screw turns with the wing nut...which isn't tight enough to keep the holder in place for more than 1 or 2 uses.My plan to fix this is to replace the screw with one that I can apply torque to, drilling a small hole through the holder for a screw driver if necessary.

small and cheap
did not work well at all. too small for even a small cup and not sturdy enough if it was big enough

Gives Back Some Independence
I've had 6 orthopedic surgeries in the last two years. I get tired of being helpless so I bought two of these to attach one to each crutch. In one cup I out my beverage and in the other cup I can put a snack. If you have an open cup and its full to the top you do need to be careful that you don't tip the crutch too much while moving. The size fits every drink I've tried putting in there. Some times the cup was too small for the holder and i noticed some times bottles drinks fell out. I put a red solo cup in this cup holder, which fits perfectly, and then put the bottled drink in the solo cup (as in, I put the whole bottle in the cup, not that I poured the liquid in the cup). Makes life on crutches so much easier and definitely allowed me to be more independent.

CHEAP PRODUCT - Save your money
This product was all plastic (rubbery feel) but had a metal screw. I knew it would give me trouble (I'm not mechanically inclined), but followed the instructions to the letter. After installing it, the cup holder failed to hold a full cup of drink (a plastic medium size cup w/ice and drink from the golden arches). Every time I'd put the cup into the holder, it would fall spilling the liquid. It appeared it wasn't gripped tight enough to the metal frame. The instructions warned to be careful not to over-tighten, so I thought I did something wrong. I decided to remove the cup holder and maybe put it in another location; however, the screw wouldn't come out...it just kept spinning in place. I tried for almost 20 minutes trying to get it off but it wouldn't budge, the screw just kept turning in place. I finally got a pair of sharp scissors and cut right through the plastic area around the screw until the cup holder came apart. I am totally disappointed this product is cheaply made and DO NOT RECOMMEND it.

but the negative review I read is really bad. the tubes on my walker/tranaporter is small in ...
I just purchased a nova cupholder,I usually do not write a review on a 6 dollar purchase, but the negative review I read is really bad. the tubes on my walker/tranaporter is small in diameter and when I put it together/ yes the screw sticks out, I cut a 1 inch strip of duct tape and wrap it around the small sleeve to about to a ! inch diameter. Put it together and it came out perfect, the scew does not stick out. The quality of the cup is great, it is made of soft plastic so if you hit it, it won't break like a hard plastic. I gave the person a lot of credit for designing a cup holder for about 6 dollars, I would gladly pay twice amount for it. One thing the designer could have done, was to put 3 sleeves instead of 1, then it would really be universal,,,,, Tom Okayama

Didn't quite serve the need for dad's walker
My elderly father began using a walker as part of treatment for a fall. He loves spending time sitting in the yard swing, taking a glass of tea with him. He felt even more of a burden to need someone take his glass to the yard for him. In looking at cup holders on the Amazon website, I found two possibilities, this Nova Otho-med Ch-2000 and another brand. I ordered them both to see which worked best. This Nova Ortho did not fit his walker as the tubing of his walker was too large in diameter to attach the cup holder. Also, the other cup holder I found could be folder up out of the way when not in use.

I'm pleased
I bought this cup holder because I was sick and tired of having other people carrying my drinks with me while I walk with my Walker so I bought this cup holder so far it's holding up it's easy to install I have a walker and it's a pretty big it's oval shaped the bars so I don't need the other piece that it came with because it was big enough to fit I have a wheel walker in it works good for that.

good value
I gave it to my sister. It fit easily on her walker. We placed it inside not outside. She never sits on it but uses it to get around the house. Fitting the holder inside rather than outside made it easier for her to get through doors.

It cracked easily.
I thought this would be an excellent gift for a beautiful lady I support. She had it on her walker for only a week before it cracked and is now useless. Because she was afraid to tell me what happened she asked someone to glue it. I will not buy this again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
