Raphaelite DP34 is a phenomenal unit. Build quality is superb, and rock solid - excellent quality build. There are genuinely a variety of Tubes on this unit with the EL34's handling the Amp stage. Noise floor is non-existant - no hum, no noise whatsoever. There is a user adjustable Tube Bias guage which shows the mA for each of the EL34 Tubes allowing you to adjust the bias so that all 4 tubes are running at the same Bias Setting (good if you want to lower this and have a longer tube life - but more importantly it's an easy way to bias your 4 primary Amp stage tubes only). Sound: The unit is immaculate in its crystal clarity - the soundstage is amazing - close your eyes and you can literally feel the presence of the music infront of you - this was very pleasing experience. Best suited to Jazz, or Electric Guitar (along the lines of Dire Straits) it just shines on this. Vocals - suberb Bass - (Anyone looking for large bass thump is not looking in this range of Amp - but it is more than adequate however you'd need to pair it up with a Pre-Amp to feed the audio out to Sub-Woofer). It is very difficult to find material on this Amp unit on the internet - but know that Raphaelite is one of the top China produced Tube Amp makers - and this unit is pristine. Buy with confidence - Highly Recommended.
