My husband wanted me to order these for a 15 yr old shaver and I was skeptical that it would be enable the shaver to give a close shave. It was easy to change out the old parts for the new. The razor functions like new! He will probably get years out of the new parts. He really likes this Panasonic shaver and the new ones were more than he wanted to spend. What a saving!

Bought Panasonic ES8249S from Amazon in 2011. I keep my cars, phones, wife (note the use of singular), shoes, clothes, and apparently electric razor for a long time. There is NOTHING wrong with my razor, so why get on that wasteful carousel of new-new-new. I early adopt and long hold. So: when it came time to replace the blades I checked my purchase history and choked on the price. $90+ for the foil and blades? That’s how I always bought the replacements for any of my electric razors over the decades. I whittled it down to $50+ but come on! Reading the compatibility specs in one of those “deals” I noticed a breakout of the “just the” blade model #. Instantly the price was now in the $20 +/- $1 range. The foil looked fine on mine. Eager, I went for next day delivery and just tried them out! OMG. Shaving heaven! Works GREAT! Cut easily, no pulling, not rubbing against foil. The blades were so sharp I had to finesse putting them on and checked my finger for a cut. Out with the old blades. Great product! Will reorder. Even thinking about stocking up.

It gives a second life to the shaver. Even the battery life has improved!!!

When I replaced the old blade with this new one, my razor is working like a new one. It fits and works well.

My Panasonic ES8103 wet/dry shaver has been a workhorse. I've had it for about 5 years, after the previous one I had lasted longer than that before the battery stopped holding charge. As an aside, if your battery doesn't hold charge and you're within the warranty period, they will replace it with a refurbished shaver after you pay for shipping there (they pay for shipping to you). Your shaver will just be swapped, they will not repair it or replace the battery. These blades are the OEM blades made by Panasonic. While the generic ones would likely fit and work, these are almost the same price so it was worth the piece of mind. Pros: - Fit perfectly - Easy to replace (pop off old, push in new) - Super sharp, like new blades - Depending on the thickness of hair and frequency of use, each replacement can last 6-12 months. Cons: - Packaging is a blister pack, so you can't open it without a scissor or knife. Even then, it has a lot of grooves and odd shapes so it creates a lot of sharp edges and you could cut yourself. As long as these are only a few dollars more than the generics, it's definitely worth it.

The blades are fine. I expected the outer foil too, but that was my mistake as I misinterpreted the accompanying photo. The blades are priced high though -- almost 2/3 the cost of a new shaver. I bought the replacement blades because my shaver was working very well after 2 years, and my previous closely related Panasonic shaver kept going for 6 years! But then, the blades used to cost much less earlier. So on hindsight I think I should have bought a new shaver rather than replacement blades. These Panasonic washable shavers are truly excellent.
