This is a feature and not a defect, esp if you live with any cats. You must unlock it to use it. Be careful not to put anything like cutting boards over the buttons while it is on, or it may turn off and take a long time to boil water for pasta. But value for the money, ease to clean, appearance and heating capacity make this 5 stars.

We bought this to replace an older, broken unit, measured and thought we were good, but the depth is a little less than the previous stovetop, so we had about a 1" gap where the granite didn't support the new unit.We had to go out and buy supplies and then build a support.Measure your old unit carefully before committing.However, we are very happy with how sleek the profile is, and it's easy to use.

I was so excited about getting my new stove top, but it’s not user-friendly The child lock was on and I can’t get the child lock off all I want to do is email the company and find out how I can fix the problem like I said before this is I bought this in 2024 January and I’ve had trouble with the child button and there’s no information to find out how I can fix this problem I can’t turn the stove on because the child button will not release model number ntn-58454 if the company would email me and let me know how to fix this problem that’s all I want outside of that. This is a very poor product and it doesn’t work very well and it’s hard to use.

These range tops are great. Perfect fit, form and function. We installed them in custom kitchen island with a custom downdraft extractor between them. We love the totally flat surface for easy cleaning and the touch controls. They also have a lock feature which is great so they won't turn on while cleaning them or when you put something on top of them. Been using them for more than 6 months almost daily and haven't had any problems at all.

I was a bit hesitant when I had to change to a electric cooktop rather than a traditional stove, but it was surprisingly quite similar, as well as even better in some cases such as cleaning.

This little cooktop has been great in our carriage house. It heats up quickly and fits, albeit snugly, a 3 qt saucepan and an approximately 9" bottomed skillet. Easy to clean with alkaline water! Highly recommended.
