I bought these Scotch Brite pad sponges because they hold up better than the cheaper imitations, the scrubby pads are more effective than other brands and the price was cheaper than I could find in any of the stores near me. I only buy these sponges but in this case I bought them on Amazon because it was the least expensive place I could get them.I would recommend buying them here to maximize your value for the money.

I have been using these for years now. They're tough and it's very handy to have the abrasive side right there instead of having to deal with rusty steel wool. And the sponge side is as good as any other I've ever used.I replace these every so often, not because I've worn them out, but because they eventually become discolored. Did I mention they were tough?I wash dishes, pots and pans, counter tops, shower stalls, kitchen and bathroom sinks.... everything with these, though not with the same one!

These sponges are great for removing grime from pots that are stubborn. Work great to clean my stainless sink too! Be careful because they work like steel wool on the green side and can be very abrasive, do not use on delicate items

These sponges come at a bit of a premium but they still beat many of the no-name sponges, in my book, for endurance and performance. I do not use them for countertops - I have swedish disclothes (that can be sanitized) for that purpose. I'm not convinced that a normal dishwasher cycle will sanitize them, as they will still get funky if I don't replace in 7-10 days. Because I use them for *dishes*! What I use for counters has to either be disposable or something I can sanitize in the washer after a day's use.Not sure why they made the shape wave-y now, except maybe to make them different. My grip on the old rectangle type was just fine, as was getting into corners with the rectangle shape. I'm just glad that the sponge part is still "spongey" instead of being made of useless plastic-ky foam.And yes, they arrive faintly damp. I've noticed reviewers commenting unhappily on that, but I do think that the sponge portion would shrivel and might even crack in storage without that moisture, and appearance - for good and bad - is everything. I'm pretty sure the sponges are moistened and then sealed up hygenically. Or at least I've never opened a package that smelled.

Great item at a reasonable price

I have used these sponges for years. I have tried others in the past but I love it has 2 different textures and it works well for dishes I like to clean by hand. The size is also perfect and makes it easy to clean pans and pots.

These are the only sponges we use in the kitchen. It's nice that they have a soft side and a scrubby side when needed. I place the wet sponge in the microwave each night for 2 minutes to kill any germs. They last awhile before having to replace. I'm happy with our purchase and I highly recommend.
