Fun non stop flight, like the big drones /w flips. Good practice. Support is the best. Recommended.
The media could not be loaded. I now own a Holy Stone HS100 GPS 2K Camera Drone (not for indoors, it's a big one) and two HS200 Mini Drones, the first one must have got banged around or crushed during shipping as the top plastic was loose and it didn't hover properly, rising upward constantly on its own.Note: The video was done even with THAT issue lol.Little concern about that after the support I recieved when I "thought" my HS100 had a hovering issue due to complex calibration and me being new to drones at the time.I contacted Holy Stone directly and was asked a few simple questions and almost immediately sent out a replacement without being bothered to ship the defective one back.I can't stress the fact enough of how incredible the Holy Stone support team is, you even get a 'Welcome to the Family' message upon purchase, allowing for easy contact if there is any issue.Although I sincerely doubt that is the intention of the message, it IS convenient to be able to reach them by their initiative of simply letting you know they are there if any concern comes up.I felt that to be the important factor in my review as is speaks volumes to anyone who may be debating between companies.I would never buy a drone anywhere else at this point. On to the Mini Drone...Pros:Three batteries - You can pretty much charge and fly, the charger has a charging port on each side (so you can charge two at once) starting with one and adding the second while still playing with the third...waiting for the first to be done charging.Personally I was able to just cycle batteries and never take a break if I didn't feel the urge.Dual Charger Included - Covered that above.Three speeds - Indoor flight training, Indoor crash course, and take it outside lol...not really labeled like that of course. It beeps to indicate a speed change when you press the button, one beep for slow, two for medium, three for fast.Headless Mode - The only way to fly unless your really good, or your used to flying UFO's heh. (See cons)Trim Function - To calibrate any auto drifting forward/backward or left/right. Which it seems to remember and usually only needs to be done once.Stunt Button - One press and then holding a direction on the joystick makes it do flips in almost any direction. I have only used my perfectly working one a couple times since I have been busy, but I 'think' it even does angled flips...hard to tell when it was flying up by itself at first.Propeller Guards - The one thing I REALLY wish my HS100 "did" have, even sold separately--my hover issue on the HS100 came from a crash that damaged my propellers about five minutes after getting it, which customer support stuck with me through 30 messages or so to finally figure out AND sent me a spare propellor kit free of charge. You can pretty much play bumper drones (although I don't recommend it) without worry. I have literally pushed it away with my palm while someone else was flying without a scratch on me or the drone. Again, I am NOT suggesting anyone does that.Customer Care - Not Service, Care. I was asked to report on how my replacement flew after recieving it, just to make sure I was completely satisfied with my product. On top of that I now have six batteries...and a second one to smack around like a pinball machine lol. It's fun as all ℍⅇƙ to fly around inside the house, I have ceiling fans and such and still haven't had much issue.Cons:Headless Mode - It constantly beeps which can drive you nuts and makes it harder to tell if its the batteries or the mode.Considering its an indoor toy, I think this should have been the default setting or just did one long beep and shut up (that would have been ideal for any of their drones), the big ones keep beeping too. That is literally my only realistic complaint. No GPS/Camera - C'mon, it was like $20-$30, what do you expect? Honestly lol...you get what you pay for.Bottom Line:I have loved Holy Stone for its true concern for customers since day one and will continue to love them for as long as that remains the case. The drone is fun, good for almost any age range for practice, as long as they can understand don't touch the spinning propellors...even though you wouldn't lose a finger from this model, it'll freak a kid out i'm sure. I'm up in my thirties and enjoy this thing, good practice for my HS100 too since the controls arre ALMOST identical.Definitely recommended, and if this model isn't to your liking...Holy Stone is the way to go regardless. To be crystal, I have no affiliation with Holy Stone or any of its staff beyond customer service conversations, i'm just an average joe who believes this is how companies SHOULD be, and I feel the need to let people know when they are.6 stars for letting me keep the buster and spare batteries when I got a fluke.

Fun and easy, but maybe not for cats (and definitely not outdoors)
I wanted to see if my cats and foster kittens might be interested in a flying toy. I wanted something relatively cheap so if it got pounced on I wouldn't upset at the cost. The first one I got was obviously used and broken, Amazon replaced it, and the second was in perfect shape. The good news is there's little risk of it getting pounced on. The cats are interested in this, but only at a distance. When it flies close to them they scramble where I was expecting them to get a case of the wiggle butts.I can see where some people damage these on the first flight. Having experience with RC airplanes and big drones I skipped reading the owners' manual (big mistake). I hit the takeoff button and it zipped up rather quickly, hit a cabinet and then went crazy fighting artificially induced pitch sticking itself to the cabinet door. If you're not ready for it the way it zips up will absolutely startle and hit something if you're not in a clear space.I also accidentally discovered the relative direction mode (in this mode which way the stick makes it go is relative to you, so that if you rotate with the left stick until the drone is facing the opposite way, pushing the right stick to the right will still make the drone go to your right right instead of left). This was a little confusing for me having prior RC experience. Again, reading the manual would have been smart on my part.Lastly is a tip about the reviews talking about it just drifting away outdoors. The controller has an IR panel on the front (facing away from the pilot). For those that don't know, IR is light based. I'm pretty sure this is how the drone knows which way it is facing for relative direction mode, but it's quite likely it's used for other purposes, including actual flight control instead of RF. This means that when it's in direct sunlight, the IR receiver on the drone itself will get "jammed" by the sunlight and will be unable to receive input from the controller. This is definitely an indoor only drone, but at a minimum if you're going to do it outdoors, do it at night and keep it really close to you. Without walls for the IR light to reflect off of, the range will be much lower outdoors, so you risk it flying away at night too.It wouldn't be a fair review if I didn't also list one big con. It comes with blue & black fans, which would be great, however the fans aren't actually color coded. The fans spin in different directions depending on their location on the drone. Normally I would expect them to be color coded along the lines of "black = clockwise blue = counterclockwise", however this isn't the case. If you break a blade, you will need to carefully look at the fan blades to ensure the broken ones you are replacing match the new ones. Putting a clockwise in a counterclockwise or vice versa the drone will not be flyable and possibly fly around erratically hitting people or objects in the room (causing further damage). OTOH if you're feeling like mixing it up you could swap a blue for a black or such for visual effect.Overall it's a good little drone. Read the instructions, know how to handle it before you're first flight, don't run into things and I would imagine this will last quite a whileUPDATE: Been flying it around my house for a few weeks now. People who complain about it breaking are misusing it IMO. I've had a couple of small crashes. It seems fairly durable, no damage from falls from five feet up onto carpet, or accidentally tapping it into a wall. To break it, you would need to go full speed into a wall, which would probably break it. Kids being rough treating it like an RC car will break it. Drones aren't RC cars and are more fragile.

Fun but low Quality
This product is about as good as you can expect for the low price. It flies well and is a lot of fun, but the battery doesn't last long and takes quite a while to charge. It's also not great for outdoor use— even a slight breeze can throw it off course. I've had it for a couple of years, and it's starting to break down a bit. Some of the batteries don't even work anymore. Fun for what it is but not the best quality.

Holy Stone HS210 review
I was apprehensive about buying a toy drone like this however, I believe this little guy did a lot for my indoor flight skills. I have a 4k camera drone that flies itself but I was curious about "whoop" drones. The contents of this kit are on par with the typical "fly more" kits and it is super inexpensive. Flying in the house was sketchy at first but now I fly 3 batteries back to back without issue. I can't fly my camera drone in the house without tearing up walls and/or the drone itself. Taking the HS210 outside, the wind pushes it around a lot and requires flying in high speed while making a lot of corrections. This package flies like a stabilized camera drone vs. the fpv freak whoop pictured next to it which is practically uncontrollable for a beginner pilot. Overall, this Holy Stone kit exceeded my expectations.4/2/25 update - yes, the batteries are small and do not last very long. My solution was the Urgenex 500mah 1s batteries which you can buy here on AMZN for $21.99/5. If you buy batteries, be sure to buy them with a ph2.0 connector. I get about 4:40 out of these batteries. It is a really fun little drone and will hover in about a 6" square if you trim the controls properly.
