Fantastic but...
I wish I can give a 4.5 *It's give an excellent print quality out of the box and can't be better pack. It in a vacuum zip bag with aluminum treatment (humidity proof) and in a protective slive in a box... Hard to be better and it is dry.I open the bag, skip the drawing stage, load-it and run-it with the same setup I use for all ABS filament (most of the time Raise3D). It did make a very good finish and is dry, ready to use, but...At loading I notice more stringing than usual (no oozing, but stringing), same at the nuzzle purge before the print. Than I did anticipated, more stringing than usual. I can almost print ABS without retraction, it's not the case with this one. I notice the manufacturer recommends 235 +/-5c than I lower the print to 235c to see if that help. At the end, It's clean easely and the end piece look stunning. Also I print over blue tape, I was printing PET before and to lazy to remove-it, but normally ABS stick like crazy on blue tape, not this one. I wonder if large parts will have warping issue and un-sticking issue.I did dry-it for 12 hrs at 75c, add retraction like I use for PETG, reduce the material flow (90%), print at 230c / 100c table 50mms general speed, 30c shell, 0.4 nuzzle, 0.150 layer and I get outstanding parts.Than at the end it increase the printing time by 50%... The spool is only 750G (3/4 KG) for 22$I would not recommend-it, if it was not ready to use. Not much filament can be take out of the box and use on the spot and not be dry for hours. Than, Ok, I would recommend-it but expect to have a slower print with more going thru hoops and loops. Some tuning is require, good parts and ready to use. It's more than a 4* but certainly not a 5*Have fun printing...

Beautiful texture and adhesion
I've tried about 4-5 different brands of ABS recently to try and find a good one. Most so called ABS seem to be blends, and they print a bit more stiff and rigid with mediocre adhesion. Not this one. Beautiful glossy satin finish and excellent adhesion. Not sure how well it vapor finishes but will find out soon. Even if it doesn't vapor finish well I still would buy it.Only thing bad is the price is a rip off at $20 on Amazon. For a 750g reel it should be abt $15. I found it cheaper elsewhere to get more.

Good consistant filament, with bad spools
Good filament for a decent price. I've ordered it twice now and both batches have decent adhesion, strength and print quality. Although this is good filament I can not really recommend it. The spools are too small for this amount of filament, they are completely full so they unwind themselves and get tangled up around the spool holder. Most other brands have larger spools and only fill the spool to about 1/2 an inch of the edge. Also these smaller spools are very thin, so they might not work with some spool holders. When print with this I have to rig up stuff around the spool to keep it from unwinding and it still messed up a couple of prints before I was able to get it just right. This is irritating and detracts from an otherwise decent product. No more then 500g should be put on spools this size. I expect that it would not cost much if any more to use normal 1k size spools and just put 750g on them, that would be far better. Personally as long as Kodak is using these small spools I will only order from them if I cannot find the color/type of filament that I am looking for in another brand.

Prints well when dialed in requires careful calibration due to out-of-spec diameter and density
This is a review for the Black 2.85mm Kodak ABS filament with a Lulzbot TAZ6 printer equipped with the Hexagon hot end.My printer's default ABS calibration did not work well this material. However, after I characterized the material and my extruder's behavior with it, I get some very nice prints. The advertised diameter is 2.85mm +/- 0.03mm. I received a spool from batch 01063041. The spool I received was 2.832mm.With extruder e-steps calibrated at 3mm^3/sec (extruder speed of 0.47mm/min) and 245*C, it prints at up to 15 mm^3/sec volumetric flow rate using an extrusion multiplier of 1.03 to achieve an accurate volume. After dialing in my extruder settings the prints come out quite nice and I've made some very functional parts with it.The only problems I have had is some warping on long thin parts that touch the build plate. I have been able to alleviate this somewhat by using a makeshift enclosure (insulation sheets around the printer) and by using "ABS juice" on a glass bed surface.

Flawless ABS. One of the best ABS filaments I have ever used
I bought this because my normal go-tos, ESun and Hatchbox, were out of stock and the Kodak red was nearly the same shade. Though, wow, the print quality of the Kodak ABS is amazing, and even better than the Hatchbox, which is very good. With the above said, ABS is a very hard filament to print and needs a fully enclosed printer with a pre-warmed chamber. My prints were on a Voron 2.1 at 240C through an E3D Volcano with a 105C bed and on a PEX and PEI spring steel sheet at 120mm/sec. At these settings, the first layer sticks very well and will not release from the PEX/PEI until the bed cools, which is exactly what you want. Once the bed has cooled, the print releases without any stress fractures (white marks) and is perfectly flat and smooth. The print itself has a glossy clean finish and without needing any type of post-processing. Shrinkage is about normal for ABS. Though, most importantly, there is zero warping, no deformations, and a perfect surface. I did not test vapor smoothing, but gosh, I don't think it really needs it.My only complain is the 3/4 kg roll. I print high-volume and hate smaller rolls. I am sure this was a marketing decision to shrink the roll so that the price appears competitive to other higher-end ABS. Though, this really reduced the "value for money" rating for me and also means I won't switch to Kodak as normal filament. I don't like changing rolls Kodak. Please release a "normal" size 1kg roll.In summary, if you want quality ABS for those demanding projects, Kodak ABS should make the list of alternatives.
