We bought this for a family member who is 5'2". First of all the recipient is thrilled with the quality and it is much nicer than any of the other ones we looked at. In particular the thick and supportive seat cushion is far better quality than most out there and provides a better sitting experience.However, I do not believe we will be able to make this rollator work for this person. The height range listed is definitely achievable for walking, but the seat height of 18" is only to the bottom of the seat (confirmed via email with medline). Unfortunately, in this case, the thick seat cushion brings the actual seat height up to 20.25 inches (confirmed in the manual). For someone who is 5'2", this is too high for them to sit with both feet touching the ground. While everyone is proportioned differently, I cannot imagine a 4'11" person having a height to the back of their knees of 20".Five stars for quality, three stars for misleading ranges. If you measure from the back of the heel to the mid-point on someone's knees and it is at least 20" then you cannot go wrong with this rollator for comfort and quality. If your user will not be sitting or does not have balance issues with climbing up and getting off a high seat, then this may still be a great choice. Unfortunately, we are now looking for another solution for a shorter one that doesn't feel like a downgrade which we have not been able to find!
