All I can say is we are charging in our car iPhone XR & iPhone 11 Pro Max no problem with the genuine apple cable

Q: How many amps does the blue light consume?

An LED consumes less than a milliamp, a car battery can deliver at least 35 Amps for an hour so it won't notice unless you leave it plugged in for a year or so. Even longer if your socket needs the ignition on to work.
