ISM Adamo Road Saddle

I used to ride 25 mile rides 4 years ago on a Trek and the stock seat and stopped riding due to numbing in my man area. Several months ago I got into biking again and began experiencing the same problems but this time instead of giving up, I sought out a solution. After many reviews on multiple websites I decided to buy this seat and after two rides of 1+ hour per ride, I can verify that this seat will change your ride. This seat relieves the pressure on your testicles and allows for blood to flow much easier. This allows me to stay in aero position the entire ride which made my ride faster. Several people said they had to get "used" to this seat however, I didn't experience the same. The seat was so comfortable that I was able to say in one position comfortably the entire ride. Highly recommend for anyone expediting numbing issues.

I have bought and used several seats over the years with mixed results. On a whim I bought this and love it. I have been riding it on a trainer and can lean forward for long periods without any discomfort. I llok forward to logging longer mileage now that I have found comfort. The company I bought it from sent it out immediately and it was exactly what it was supposed to be.

My TT bike had a saddle with a very soft nose and it was still uncomfortable while in the aero position. The saddle works great, put 50 miles on it the first time out and had no problem in the aero position. It lines up with my sit bones just right and made for a very comfortable ride. It was so comfortable it has me thinking about getting on for my mtb bike - but I don't think I could handle the ridicule of the other mountain bike guys.

I bought this seat after I registered for this year's BP MS 150 Houston to Austin charity ride. I read all the reviews and saw quite a few of them that stated you need an adjustment period to get used to not having the single tipped nose instead of the double split nose. I have no problems with that aspect of the seat, the issues that I have found however are 1) this seat ( ISM Adamo Road Saddle ) is supposed to be the most padded for long distance tri type riding and touring but it is not padded very well at all honestly. If you're going to be on a century ride or tour I would recommend you carry two separate seats with you and swap them out once in a while so that you do not start hurting. The second reason you may begin to hurt is 2) this seat is not really wide enough for me, granted I am a hoss, I have always been a wide framed guy. Even when I was in my absolute best shape of my life during pre-ranger in the Army with a full six pack abdomen I still wore a size 38 waist, I just come from a large family hence why I train so hard so that I do not become so overweight. If you're prone to be a wider framed person with larger hips this seat will most likely not fit your hip bones very well. Now I have found that combining this seat with the Cane Creek seat post helps substantially with road vibrations and definitely helps to not hurt my rear so much after a long ride but for those weight weenies I know you do not want the added weight. Too bad really, here I am 214 lbs and weight lift all the time and I still out run weight weenies all the time. Here's the catch 22, don't be a weight weenie ( punk lol ) if you're comfortable you're going to be fast and if you're fast you're going to have fun.

extremely painful to sit on, it definitely removed the numb-ness in you-know-where but the saddle would spike into my sit bones.. could never get used to it.. I guess saddle preference is just very personal but this saddle didn't do it for me. I'm 6.1 and a semi-serious triathlete.

I was recommended this saddle by a fellow triathlete and am glad I went with it. Adamo offers many options that are worth checking out before you decide on a specific saddle, they are all customized for certain types of riding. For a multi-purpose seat this quite comfortably served me for the Olympic distance race in which I last used it, has been great for training and I am confident it will treat me well in my upcoming 70.3 and full iron. Mind the positioning diagram when installing.

I ride between 100 and 200 miles a week. Since purchasing this seat I have never gone numb. As advertised, it took about a week to get used to it. I did lower it a quarter inch compared to my previous seat (If you install it too high then your feet will go numb) and I slid it back as well. I highly recommend Adamo seats. I don't think I will ever buy another seat that is not an Adamo.

I received odd reactions from the guys at my local bike shop when I told them I got this for my road bike. I don't understand what the big deal is... it's designed for a road bike, not just for tri bikes or time trials! These saddles make so much more sense ergonomically, and the period it took to get used to it was maybe 4 or 5 short rides. I totally agree with the other positive reviews for this seat, and will be buying one for my wife.

少なくとも私は本当に楽になりました。吊るしのサドルのときは、まぁ〜書きにくいんですが先っぽの方まで（ご想像に）痺れ感がありました。特に50km越えた辺りから。で大体臀部辺りにニキビの大きいできものが出来るのが通例でしたが解放されました。万人に当てはまるとは思ってませんが私には相性ぴったりです。

This is my second ISM saddle. I found despite bike fit etc, I had knee pain. After a number years I realised I was sitting to one side so left leg was reaching longer. The ISM lets me sit solid and centre. I race Tri, I preferr the ISM century to the road saddle. Riding with no hands is a lot harder.

Der Sattel hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Nach kurzer Eingewöhnung/Umstellung sehr zweckmäßig und bequem. Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen und kann den Artikel empfehlen.
