I've had my iPhone 6 open before, so I already have the pentalobe (screwdriver) tool. Once inside, the battery connector (under a metal cover) pops right off. You really do not need to completely disconnect the glass screen, just prop it up away from you at a 90* angle against something sturdy. The only PITA part of this replacement is getting out the old battery with those adhesive strips. Here's the trick: at the bottom edge of the battery you can barely see two white tabs when you fold away that small black flap. All you do is grab onto each one of the white tabs and stretch it out from under the battery. These adhesive strips work just like those stick-on hooks for around your house - you just stretch the adhesive strip down away from the hook (battery) and it releases. It will also snap/break off, so keep stretching, pulling and grabbing it until it completely pulls out from under the battery. Same for both adhesive strips. The replacement adhesive strips in this kit are exactly the same so you know what you're dealing with.My battery arrived *barely* charged, but took a charge quickly and fully. No idea how long it will last. But for $20 I can't complain. Highly recommended!

This Aslanka battery was initially just awful after charging fully. The capacity was about 1/3 of that of a new Apple battery. It literally wouldn't hold a charge any longer than the already WORN OUT battery that I had just removed. I wanted to put the old battery back in while I search for a decent battery, but I wrecked it getting it out.Over the course of the next 2 months this battery very gradually improved to the point where it performs maybe 75% as well as a new Apple battery. I wouldn't buy this battery again.

All of the critical tools were provided in the kit. I watched 3 different videos available on YouTube before attempting the actual replacement. This battery replacement requires excellent eyesight, a pair of tweezers and a lot of patients.Without excellent eyesight and tweezers, it would be extremely difficult to handle the very small screws in the iPhone 6. There are several very small connectors on short cables used between the upper and lower case of the iPhone 6. When reassembling the iPhone, it is difficult to keep all of these connectors fully connect when replacing the tiny retention plate; it took more than one try to get the phone back into operation.The YouTube videos showed easy pull tabs for removing the adhesive strips that hold the old battery to the phone case. In my iPhone, the battery installation did not have these strips and had to be pried out of the case with a putty-knife. The photo is of the mangled old battery after removal.

Arrived in a well packaged nice looking box. All tools needed to replace battery in iPhone 6. This is the third iPhone battery I’ve replaced in different phones. First two took top all the way off and unplugged all connections, had no problems but took a little extra time. This one lifted top to 90 degrees and put a gum band around a weighted coffee can to hold it at 90 degrees. This is VERY IMPORTANT. It must not go past 90 degrees or phone will be ruined. I had everything on a non slip rubber surface. Take your time pulling out the old sticky tape from underneath so it doesn’t break the tape prematurely. It will stretch out about a foot. The whole process took me about ten minutes. My wife was surprised it was done so quick. Her phone is back to 100 percent capacity and working great so far

I was a bit concerned about how difficult it would be to install this battery. Turned out it was pretty simple. The instructions are not the best but once you open the phone it's fairly obvious how to install the battery.Once inside, I only had to remove two screws that held a cover over the battery plug. I used a small screwdriver to lift the plug and then took the battery out. Installation was the opposite.Of course, I can't tell how long the battery will last yet but if I get a couple of years out of it I'll be satisfied.All-in-all, very satisfied. I recommend it.

My daughter replaced the battery in my old iphone 6. It worked well for a few months. Then the battery held less and less battery.

This was an uncomplicated, no surprises installation! Exactly as shown & good quality. I did not use the screen cover provided because it’s plastic, but good to have for an emergency back-up. I cannot speak on the battery life as I only installed yesterday. Installation took 30 minutes max, but certainly can be done faster. I watched 2 YouTube videos & recommend the one by Gadget Fanatek, 42:49 minutes. I normally wouldn’t choose a longer how to video, but this gave helpful info & was worth watching. To ensure not to overextend the connection to the phone’s face when removing the battery’s adhesive, I recommend disconnecting the glass face. You can do this installation.

I can only comment on the results so far. And so far, so good. It was the first time I did this on my own and I needed a magnifying glass to read the instructions and perform the operation - but it went well enough. My biggest glitch was that the adhesive on the old battery tore. This created an issue that had to be solved with a hair dryer. Do your best not to let the adhesive tear. Also - I made the rookie mistake of letting the rolled up adhesive cover the tip of the screwdriver. That was stupid. Don't let that happen either. Spent a full ten minutes tearing that off so I could replace all the screws.
