This piece, and the way it nests with the Open Toolbox, is entirely excellent, and worth the price. Yes, I have ordered some additional sorting boxes (small, medium, and large), and I wish they came with the item for the price, but they don't.I love the way the sorting boxes fit in to the "angle-anchors" (my word) on the bottom of the toolbox "floors". They keep the boxes exactly anchored in place, allowing the top to close perfectly, and, if you decide to test it, and turn the toolbox completely upside down, you will find all of your classified parts staying exactly where you placed them in their proper sorted boxes.Yes, Festool is a drug, and an addiction but at least it is an honorable, "good" addiction, making one who works with tools and parts more efficient and cleaner in the long run.As Martha Stewart used to say, "It's a good thing!".

What can I say everything from Festool is so well designed and thought out. I absolutely love it. Also my customers comment how organized and hight quality my tools are. This does not hurt my business one bit. Sure I wish Festool was less expensive, but once you get over the cost you will enjoy the quality and accuracy for years to come. Charge more, buy Festool.

The SYS-Storage Systainer offers better organization and access to tools than a typical swing top toolbox. When fully opened you will expose more of your tools to view than in a typical toolbox. Although it won't fit larger tools like a framing hammer these bulkier items can be dropped in a Sys-Toolbox Open Top Systainer and the toolbox will conveniently lock on top.The toolbox is well made, quality plastic that feels very durable. Of course the more systainers you have the more value they have over other types of storage.

This is a pricy box. But as a cabinet maker already using other systainer boxes to carry hand tools for installs, this thing is awesome. Carry all small hand tools and screws, shims etc. Stack it onto other systainers and carry all tools into a house in one load. All thats left is to wheel in the kapex saw.

If you are already into the Festool line of tools and storage this is a great way to organize your small hand tools and parts. Since it is compatible to other systainers you now have a way to organize your tools together in a compact stack. Just keep in mind that your bigger or longer tools will not fit in this box.

great product, you can stack identical tool boxes un top of each other. The handle fits underneath other Festool 499901 SYS-Storage Systainers. This is something I wondered and was not clear until I had purchased one. Will get another one.

I have 4 of these Storage Systainers along with a multitude of other Sys/Sortaners. I do like the compatibility of these and the they way they intergrate all the other Festool containers. My only complaint is that 3 out of the 4 boxes have a broken hinge on the clear plastic lid, which causes the lid to sag when open.This seems to occur if the box gets tipped over onto a hard surface, or bumped into something (like when I’m sliding them in and out of my truck). I spoke with my local Festool supplier and the replacement lid was around $42, which is almost half the price of the box itself. I ended up swapping out the bad lids to the boxes I use the least, and I don’t think I would buy another one until the box is improved.

Excellent quality

Bought this to replace a couple of battered old metal toolboxes - it also provided an excuse to get rid of a whole lot of old bits that I'd had nearly forever "just in case". I confess to being somewhat of a Festool freak, so I gritted my teeth bravely at the price. As always, the quality is superb, and it connects with Festool's other Systainer boxes, with a carrier handle out the top. I am more than happy to fork out (occasionally!) for such quality.
