Doesn't fit standard RO housing
This does not fit a 2"x12" RO membrane housing. It is too large to fit, and it is so tight that the outer shell of the filter started to slide off rather than fit in the housing. I don't understand how this has so many positive reviews. I ordered the correct size, which was supposed to be a 1.75" x 11.75" membrane filter. I have been replacing this every year for 15 years, so I'm quite sure this is the correct size. I measured the membrane and its actual diameter is somewhere between 1 7/8" and 2".

Drop-in replacement for my RO system
I had a GAC filter gone bad that fouled my RO membrane. This was the cheapest yet appeared reputable unit I can find on Amazon. My TDS meter still reports good quality water for 6+ months after this was installed.

29 ppm says it all!
Zero Stars! Used on a 5 stage RO system with all new filters. Back flushed membrane as directed and after normal use for 2 weeks the water quality is still not good @ 29 ppm. My old membrane this replaced was @ 6 ppm.

This failed in one month and I had to buy a new one. Not recommended for poor quality
