Tiger Windproof Torch Lighter

I have a nice Xikar lighter that stopped working. I had to send it in for their lifetime warranty replacement but in the meantime, I didn't have a good lighter. Someone at the local cigar shop recommended Tiger brand, so I decided to try this lighter out.I'm glad I did. I'm not sure what other people mean when they say it looks and feels cheap.The one I got feels solid and looks great (other than the color - I was hoping for silver as shown in the pic but got gold instead).Matter of fact, several people at the cigar lounge have commented on how much they like my new lighter and are really surprised when I tell 'em it was only ten bucks.My only real complaint is that the fuel reservoir must be really small in this lighter. I have to fill it much more often than my Xikar (although that may just be because it has 2 jet flames instead of 1). It seems to last only about 4 or 5, maybe 6 cigars before it needs refilling.All-in-all this is a bargain.

Read the other reviews and noted a few that stated that the lighter worked only for a few times and stopped. This is my experience as well. I added fuel and still no luck. I was in the process of sending it back when I made an adjustment to the flame height screw on the bottom of the lighter and that did the trick. So far I've only used it 5 - 6 times and it appears to be working okay. For the price paid you really can't go wrong with this lighter.I hope this helps someone else.

I ordered this lighter as a gift. A few things to note:- As other reviewers said, it feels/looks cheap.- I bought it assuming I was receiving a silver lighter, but instead I received a gold lighter.Based on the looks, I thought it was similar to one I already own (Visol Phantom Lighter - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012T1MLY/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details). My advice - skip this and get the Visol.

nice lighter. runs outa fuel pretty quickly, but other than that it pretty good. 3/5 for misleading pic and rapid fuel consumption.

i love this lighter because when i got the lighter it worked and yes you only get a little bit of gas but you can buy gas. the flame on mine had to be adjusted for a higher flame because it was set too low. if i had to get another lighter this would be the same choice i would make. and its wind proof.

The item that came had a completely different box that said "Tiger, China Top Brand, Top Trademark in China". The warranty book is in broken English and is straight from China. I was going to give this as a gift but it looks so cheap and tacky although it appears to work alright.

First of all, they do not ship with fluid. While I, along with most of the other reviewers, do find this surprising, I feel that it may be due to the fact that it's ILLEGAL! Anyhow, the lighter is surprisingly resilient, easy to refill, and doesn't mind the wind. It is a durable and attractive lighter.
