Very good quality, I tried it on a pastry crust and it did and very good job. Also the beans are of very good quality and the box is very convenient.

These are great. Just enough to blind bake a 8 inch pie base, which cooked beautifully. The ceramic balls appear to be robust and have a good weight to them. I love the little tin too. It is just the right vessel to keep them in especially with the lock down lid which will stop them from getting lose and going missing. My last ones were supplied in a bag which did not last and the balls went everywhere (including the bin) These appear to be a much better quality. Time will tell with use over time.

First, I truly like the lovely storage container 😍 better than the plastic tub I had before from a previous purchase decades ago. Very posh! 🤩 (I just need a posh kitchen to match!) 🤣 The clay beans are of a very high quality and liked the fact it gave a little instruction leaflet on preparing to use e.g. wash and air-dry. This would make a perfect gift for the person who loves to bake alot!!

While you may be tempted to just dump the pie weights straight onto the crust, don't! First, line the pie crust with foil or parchment to prevent the weights from baking into the crust (yes, it can happen!). Once your raw dough crust is lined, now you can add your pie weights. Even them out and bake away! After use, just give them a quick rinse under the tap and pat dry before popping them back in their natural calico bag to store away for next time.
