Este libro de gramática inglesa está enfocado a un público internacional, luego sobran muchas explicaciones para hispanohablantes. Yo la uso junto con el "COLLINS COBUILD ENGLISH USAGE: ISBN-13 : 978-0008356408; 4ª Edición (1 septiembre 2.019) " el "PRACTICAL ENGLISH USAGE 4ª EDICION DE OXFORD DE MICHAEL SWAN: ISBN-13 : 978-0194202435" y "The Cambridge Guide to English Usage : ISBN-13 : 978-0521847100, de 2.004" Este libro de gramática lo tengo como complemento a la 9ª edición de la "Gramática Inglesa" de Francisco Sánchez Benedito, autor fallecido hace unos años, que fue profesor de la E.O.I de Málaga, aunque su blog sigue funcionando por ahora. El libro de Benedito es mi referencia primera para cualquier duda o tema sobre el inglés. Lo dicho, muy buena, pero por detrás de la ya citada de Sánchez Benedito, la cual considero la mejor Gramática Inglesa para Hispanohablantes de todos las que hay en el mercado, y, por supuesto en español. Desde mediados de los 70 trabajó en ella para mejorarla en cada edición. La de Collins tiene la ventaja de ser más exhaustiva en determinadas explicaciones (no en muchas, no es creáis), pues tiene a su disposición el "The Bank of English", la mayor base de datos informática de la lengua inglesa, inmensa, con más de 4.500 millones de entradas. No obstante, antes que este libro os recomendaría que adquirierais la gramática de Sánchez Benedito y después, cualquiera de los dos "English Usage", o el de Collins o el de Oxford (mejores que el de Cambridge y más extensos). Si queréis Gramáticas "super mega" extensas, las cuales yo SÓLO las recomendaría para quienes estudiasen la carrera de Filología Inglesa , están la "A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language" de Randolph Quirk (editorial Pearson) la "The Cambridge Grammar of the English Language Hardback" y la " Longman Grammar of Spoken and Written English".... inabordables e innecesarias para los no filólogos, a no ser que seas un friky, pero "súper-súper" friky del Inglés. Yo las he visto en bibliotecas y ha sido abrirlas y cerrarlas...demasiado densas. Un saludo.
