Exceed RC 1/8 Scale Mad Torque 8x8 Crawler 2.4ghz Ready to Run

I love this truck. I run it on 2s lipo for added power. Four motors on four axles, wow! Tons of torque and crawling power! I'm currently making this truck a recovery and tow truck for my other two 1/8 scale trucks. I built a trailer for it to haul stuff, and I replaced the body. The remote is great also. The cons are: if you dog this truck on 2s batteries you will beak it every time. I first broke the steering spindle so I upgraded to aluminum. Then I broke the spindle connection to the axle housing. That's it. Just gotta take it a little easier. Parts are cheap from nitrorc.com

Everything broke within a few hours of running.. Total garbage, do not buy unless your willing to spend insane amounts of money on upgrades.

Some assembly is required. I took my time ✔ ed everything over. On first operation the rear rear diff was clicking. I took it apart to find the pinion was set with friction to the spur gear. I re-adjusted it now it seems fine. It's big 39" long, 14"wide, 13.5 tall. It is pretty cool minus the pre repairs. You should be some what mechanically inclined for this. On first test it drove straight up the wall. Tons of torque. It's definatly a show stopper!

So far so good. I had 2s lipos so I changed the banana plug for ec3 connector. The ESCs say they can take 2-3s batteries and can. I wouldnt recommend 3s batteries for this truck. Its has INSANE amounts of torque, no joke. For the people who crashed the truck and broke it, hear me out. The truck is not for SPEED its for SLOW crawling and cruzin, not for bashing. Because of the amount of torque this truck has, running 3s would surely strip the steering horns and servos considering your probably applying 60+ pounds of pressure on plastic parts. You are better off running 2s and turning the throttle down on the TX. I have 15+ years in the RC hobby and community. This is a great truck running the stock battery is more than enough power.

Piece of junk broke on its first time out not worth the money. Update: after some examination I found it not to be fully assembled although it appeared to be fully assembled most screws were not tightened and tie rods were not screwed in all the way. After extensive tightening of screws and now seems to be working fine so I have upgraded to three stars due to their poor quality control.

My son loved it at first, but after 1 week... a tire fell Off because a screw pin fell Out. We have one in order. Having to charge the battery outside in a fireproof container is also a hassle. Not worth the cost.

i have had this for over 2 years now and i love this thing you might have to upgrade a few lil things but if your smart it will hold its own
