Nope, nope, nope
Your money is better spent on another pen. The ink is thin, inconsistent, and too light to be considered black (its labeled "ash black", but reads more like its older ink than deliberately ash toned). The brush is made of hair versus a felt tip, but it doesn't help the ink apply consistantly. Even shaking the pen doesn't help as the brush runs out of ink after a 2-3 strokes. Over skip, not worth it.

A different way to paint
These are very easy to use, you can use two different ways, 1. Lay the color on the watercolor paper first and then apply water wherever you have placed the color, but ensure that the paper is 140 or higher to ensure no warping or buckling becomes present. The second way is to pre-wet your paper, also make sure it’s taped down, to a hard surface such as a clean desk or a mdf board, thick core board, gator boards are the best, but they can get pricey especially when you go up in sizes. But after you’ve “wetted” your paper, lay down your chose colors and create and have fun experimenting!

Colorful Potpourri
Just the right shades of color at your finger tips. I first purchased the 48 box that became my "go to" tools for my color illustration projects. I fell in love and did not want to run-out of any of the selection so I recently purchase the 96 with comes with a case. Since than, every time I begin to use a new pen, I immediately access Amazon and order just that color which comes in a box of 4. My only regret is that two of my overall favorite colors are no longer available which is Black-Noir A104, and Red A101!

So close. . .
I bought the A175 4 pack to replace the one I used from my pack of 96. All 4 pens work fine and are Very Nearly the same shade but the pen from my origional set is just a touch more yellow. It's difficult for my camera to pick up but if you're halfway through a project you will tell the difference side by side.Other than that they showed up undamaged and on time and work just fine, the color between the 4 pens are exact and you can only tell the difference betwen the origional if they're right up next to each other and even then its a very fine difference and isn't nearly as orange as the next color A135Still, cant give a full 5 stars since this will be no good to continue any works in progress

Easy and beautiful.
So easy to use and the product can be a tiny line or an entire area filled in.

Decent body and brush, ink is terrible...
I want to start by saying that the actual brush portion and the body of these pens are actually pretty decent. That said the ink in the cartridges were some what dried out and what ink did come out seemed somewhat translucent as if it had been mixed with water. If you're willing to put some time into it you can pry the end cap away from the pen to acsess the ink cartridge and refill it with your own ink,I just recommend essentially painting with it until the ink that came with the pen is mostly run out. But I know this a lot to go through and I'm writing my review based on the product as it was sold.I would NOT recommend these pens to anyone not willing to go through what I have unless you're like me and like the main body of the pens.

Poor quality pens. Returned.
Took a chance on brand I'd never tried. Big mistake. When I took the brand new pens from box and tried to write with them. They put out as much ink as a nearly empty pen. Lines looked like a felt tip pen that was completely spent. Empty. No solid lines could be achieved, and I tried all pens in the box. The best they wrote was just a shadow of ink which quickly faded out to nothing. I'm very disappointed, sad and had no choice but to return. What a drag.

Lapse in Quality Control, but Decent Pens Regardless
Arteza's brush pens are decent and are good for detailing (until they run out) and are also super cheap to replace (though replacing them four at a time is getting tedious). They're no Artist's Loft or Copic but I do like them for detail work for these color-by-number pages. This was a really weird lapse in quality control; I haven't seen mislabeled pens before. The colors seem to be the same despite this, however, so it'll just be confusing if I have to end up using the ones that are mislabeled.

I had a bad experience with arteza paints- my fault but these brushes are so soft and fine
I love the bristled brush, its so fine and gentle on the paper. It is subtle in colour of pen with end coloured to specific ink. The ink blends well with water and i use them all the time. I like buying 4 of a colour, esp if you use it a lot. You never run out.The packaging is boxed in cardboard, solid and stiff for storage. The colour range is super and the blending can be done on paper or palette. They blend with other pens and inks paints etc. |Ive even blended the colour with a light liquid acrylic. If your bothered about buying 4 just look at the price..........amazing value

Good Pens
These are really nice pens i bought them for calligraphy purposes however they were not for that which i didn't realize. They are good for painting if you want to paint but don't want to get out brushes water and paints.

Not fit for purpose
Three of the four pens not working out of the box - the one that is left the ink flow is not good - very expensive and only usable if you go very very slowly.

Great pens
I've bought a few Arteza brand items and I really can't fault them. For the price I don't think you can get better watercolour pens than these. Great quality.
