Best book on the Subject Matter...Ever.
Right up front, I've never personally written a review for a book, even though I have read many 100's of "suggested" books that will be recommended to you by Amazon from this purchase, including Charlies Almanack, anything and everything Warren Buffett, Bogle, Investing, Peter Lynch. You name it, I read it.However, for me, what this book and Mr Baid's effort for me is precisely what he set out to communicate, that life is very much amount Compounding and off of this book I've sourced many other books that have aided me in my personal efforts. Not only is this written with a 'giving' spirit' but Mr Baid provides actionable advice, philosophical, practical, and conceptual tools. The book exceeded expectations and was thick, like a Tome! I'm more than half-way through, underlining as much as I can and then transferring specific passages to my own diary/notebook. I truly love this book not just because it (and Mr Baid) deliver as promised, but because it has mentally 'unstuck' me as to how life truly works.Thank you for writing this book, Mr Baid!

Investing Gold
This is a remarkable summation of investing wisdom revealed by the best (and wealthiest) minds of our time. While investing writing and theories are sometimes complex, the writing of this book is neither ponderous, boring nor only accessible by professionals. Gautam Baid condenses the worldly wisdom of Buffett, Munger, Graham and many other leading investors into an easily readable and informative collection of essential concepts investors need to understand if they are to survive and thrive while putting their money to work to improve their futures. The Joys of Compounding is a book for the rest of us, (although I suspect it will be a very valuable read for professionals as well). It is a rich and understandable explanation of the tools necessary to develop the discipline, flexibility and patience necessary to make the most of whatever store of wealth each of us has. This book is well worth reading. In fact, if you read only one book about investing in your lifetime, this is the book you should read -- over and over.

Simply Magnificent!
This book is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to get a well rounded understanding on the concept of compounding as it relates to life and wealth. The book goes into amazing detail about the mental models that have propelled folks like Munger, Buffett, Pabrai, and other "Value" oriented investors towards phenomenal success.More importantly, the author is not trying to sell you on anything. There is no "special link" or special website to visit, or anything that seems like a gimmick. The Joys of Compounding is simply the authors attempt to deliver a fantastic compilation of resources and models, with the sole goal of adding value to humanity. In a world saturated with "hidden motives", "bait and switches", and the commercialization of knowledge; we need more books like this.Definitely one of my top go to books for 2019 and for many years to come!

A Philosophy of Life
I often try to explain to individuals that Value Investing is not simply an investing style but rather a comprehensive approach to life. This book is a gem in bringing together all the relevant threads of value investing but more than that it is a wonderful explanation to those who are not investing professionals to the way a value investor approaches life. i highly recommend buying this book and keeping it by your night stand..it is a wonderful collection of all the best thoughts and beliefs on value investing. you will not only learn to compound monetary wealth more effectively but you will more importantly learn how to compound happiness which is far more valuable.

The Joys of Compounding is The 10th Wonder of the World
If the 8th Wonder of the World is compound interest (Einstein), and the 9th Wonder of the World is compound interest tax-free (McMillen), then the 10th Wonder of the World is the Joys of Compounding and the Pursuit of Lifelong Learning (Baid). This book is gospel for the Value Investors’ cannon of mental motels. In the words of C.S. Lewis: “...good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance. The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of.”

Very enjoyable book
I purchased this book in part because Guy Spier wrote the foreword, and he's one of my favorite author/investors. I loved The Education of a Value Investor. I'm not finished with The Joys of Compounding yet, but I can tell you that it is interesting and motivating. So far, it's light on technical investing methodologies, and that's fine with me. At this point in my investing education, that's not what I'm looking for. If you'd like to read about how some of the best investors think about investing and about life, I think this will be a worthwhile purchase.

An Absolutely Gem Book
Whatever the knowledge I have acquired in last 5-6 years regarding investing, compounding, human behaviour by watching lots of google talk, listen multiple podcasts, reading so many books. I can say that you can collect the same amount of knowledge by just reading this book.I am following the Gautam Baid, Guy Spier on twitter from last few years. They did marvelous job by putting all their worldly wisdom in one book.I will rate it 5 star, each page is worth for few dollars. Nice job Gautam. I will conclude my review by saying"Investing is Simple, behavior makes it difficult."

Excellent for value investors and life-long learners
Gautam has written a well researched and organized book for investors and life-long learners. Over my almost 40 years of investing, I have read most all of the classic "Value Investing" books. The book not only pulls together many of the key learnings from the great value investors, but also life lessons from some of the brightest thinkers around the world. This book is instructive for experienced and beginning investors. I highly recommend this book for any intellectually curious reader of any age. Bravo Gautam!

Amazon, please mention word font size of the book.
Content good, butbthe font size is very small. Very difficult to read. Puts strain on eyes. Publishing house should keep in mind the readers difficulties and use standard font size for easy reading.

A Reservoir of Investing Learning and Wisdom
I quickly read first few pages and then realized that this was not a run of the mill investment book - this one had to be read slowly, internalizing the information it provides as the depth & variety of investment wisdom this book shares, far exceeds most of other books on this subject.I am a finance professional for over thirty five years and have read hundreds of books on finance and investing. My wish is that had I read this book couple of decades back, life would have been a lot easier for me so far as my investing journey is concerned. This book is reservoir of most of the investing learning and wisdom that is available in readable format so far. There are no magic mantras or instant success formulas in this book, it is meant to guide readers thinking along the long term & sustained investing success. All necessary concepts are well explained for any sincere reader to grasp & practice.Of the several investment books that i have read, very few are ones that I re-read after a couple of years. This is going to be one of those books that I will read again & again. I thank Gautam for the immense hard work that he would have put in over years to write this book. It is good Karma that he has done with selfless intent ( price of book does not include any monetary gain for him) and I am sure God will bless him for this. I am also sure that with passage of time this book will get its due recognition as a reservoir for seeking & learning investing wisdom.

HIGH INTRINSIC VALUE
the book is very informative , high in VALUE low in PRICE. it is a 500 page book with high quality paper & good printing. as imported books price includes shipping + import fee it costs rs 600 to 700 extra , in that sense the price of the book is not more than rs 1000. so the book is not costly in any sense. a book should be seen by the VALUE it gives to its reader, not by the PRICE of the book. enjoying the pursuit of a journey of lifelong learning..kudos to gautam baid for the book.

A non-stop journey through the power of compounding and worldly wisdom
A fantastic read which distils so much wisdom from the investment classics into a single book. Gautam reminds us that the value of compounding is much more than purely financial. Buy the book (and a new highlighter pen as you will need it!)

Not a very good book. No value for money
Not a very good book it mentions about views of Buffette and Munger in most of the writings. No original thinking of the author. Secondly the printing is very bad and fonts are too samll to read. Better avoid this and go for other books on Stock Investment.
