The clock is silent, which was very important as a ticking clock in a music room would have been a disaster. The colour is not white as shown, but it is rather a cream colour. The clock face seems very rough and if there is a coating, it is barely there. It has no glass or laminate and the battery mechanism at the back has no covering. I coated it front and back with decoupage varnish a as the plywood from which it is made seemed too bare and I was worried that it might swell in humid weather. After that, I am happy with this clock.

Unusual design, perfect for a music room. It took a long time to arrive but when it did it was well packaged and we have been pleased with it. It has kept to time. Also it does not arrive with a battery. It takes one AA.
