There isn't anything I dislike about this product. 20 years of experience in raising healthy kittens has given me great insight into the basic requirements of a containment system that could address the special unique escape skills of young kittens. Once they are loose - it is difficult to locate them because they can squeeze themselves through small spaces - and there are many dangerous situations they can encounter. This product is very well constructed, easy to clean with a cloth and warm water, very simple to assemble, and young kittens cannot jump over the sides or squeeze through openings. The openings are close enough together so that the kittens can see out but cannot get out. It is a neutral tan color that blends into any decor. The gate is the easiest to open with one hand, and closes easily and securely - nothing to squeeze or twist - just lift up the lightweight gate an inch and swing the door open - outward. I have spent twice as much on other enclosures over the years - and none of them have even come close to this quality, ease of cleaning, and creates a healthy, safe environment for young kittens. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who breeds cats, rescues kittens, or wishes to contain their young kitten (up to 12 weeks) overnight or during the day when they are unable to supervise the kitten(s). I suspect that after 12 weeks of age, the kittens would be strong enough and large enough to jump over the sides or gate. This unit is also easy to reconfigure into several shapes and sizes. Here is a way to have young kittens included in the hustle and bustle of a household without having them dangerously roaming around underfoot. My recent litter of 6 has already figured out that during the day when they are out exploring, they return to the enclosure on their own to eat, use the litter box, or take a nap.

After having purchased two different size made of canvas/net/zippers/liner that didn't hold up for our little Malshi pup, I decided to buy this well made and solid play pen to contain our girl in those times when we are not home and where she can sleep and be safe. This playpen is so simple to assemble and came inside a box within a box, so nothing was ruined during the shipment process. All parts to the play pen were there and am waiting on the liner or top to arrive as it's versatile. This hexagon shape offers the same equivalent of space as the other large fabric play pen and I'm sure it will not have to be replaced. It also can be used as a rectangular, square, or gate besides the hexagon. That many shapes from one item; you can't find that much versatility in anything else marketed that is going to withstand all ages of our Malshi. You can also buy off the bolt, thick plastic to use as a liner and place a thick fabric pad over it for comfort that's washable. The playpen sits in our living room on carpet needing that pet proof protection. The color of the playpen is exactly as the picture shows it to be. It is best to arrange the dark brown lock tops in position first and then slip over the top corners of each panel. It's also best to assemble it in the area where it will be used. I really like the walk in gate feature making it much easier to pick up food/water bowls and wipe down interior without having to get on knees and crawl inside to retrieve. This item may be more expensive, but in the long run, it's more useful and sturdy and won't fall apart. I also like the idea incorporated that prevents a pet from climbing out. This was a well thought out structure that serves its purpose.

I did a lot of research before buying this 6 panel playpen. It's pricey but worth the money. None of the other brands I checked out came close to having the features this one has. Others stated the latch is flimsy but we've had this for 5 months and so far our 9 1/2 lb Yorkiepoo hasn't been able to jiggle it open. It's high enough she can't jump out and the vertical slats in the panels make it impossible for her to climb out. Very easy to assemble and wipe clean. The construction is solid and sturdy. I also purchased the Richell Paw Trax Training Tray (puppy pad holder) and it fits great along with a bed and some toys and still has some room to play. Love that's it so versatile. Very Happy with this pen and have no complaints.

Overall great playpen for two ridgeback puppies BUT We did need to install an additional latch on the door or the puppies could open it by jumping at the door. Purchased with the Richell convertible floor tray and together this has been a life saver as we brought home two 8 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies (purchased when we thought we were only getting one). We use this during the day when we can’t supervise the puppies to keep them from chewing up things or going potty on the carpet, as well as to give them privacy from our older dog. They’ll go in for naps on their own. We crate them at night so it’s nice to have a more open place for them to hang out during the day. Plus the tray keeps spills and accidents contained.My 15 year old son put this together very easily. I’ve hauled it out back to pressure clean once and it was easy to move and get back into place. All in all I’m extremely happy with this product. I would expect to have to install some hardware yourself to keep the door locked as even the dogs bumping against it can open it by accident. That aside, the puppies are now 3.5 months old, about 30 lbs each, and play ROUGH and this stands up to their rough and tumble ways. Such a good investment.

Ugly as sh..t, but that said study and has held up well in the environment - we are using it as an outdoor gate so quite happy with it's general durability.
