****3rd Edit for a 3rd set***Just installed another set into my 2013 Escalade.Folled the same install steps and they are perfect!Decided to pick up a used escalade while we wait for our Yukon. These fit perfectly in the rear windows***EDIT**I own both Type A on my XC90 and Type B on my MDX.Type B was purchased in March of 2016 and they are still going strong, great quality and no issues with the actual shade, 6 YEARS LATER!The only thing i have had to do was replace the two sided tape twice over the last SIX years. once was because of my son at the time (2 yrs old) would like to stick his toys under and pry it up. the other was just because the car sat in the sun under a car cover for almost 6 months waiting on a part. the 3m tape that I had put on (not the tape that came with it) had softened and came off.Type A was purchased in June of 2018, great quality and no issues with the actual shade, almost 4 YEARS LATER! Ive only had one issue and that was quickly resolved by customer service.The quality of these is top notch and I truly think these were the best aftermarket purchases for the interior of both of my vehicles in the past 6 years.Well worth the money.To all that are downing the product because it is made in China, does it really matter if its a quality product?These shades are standing the test of tome with a now 8 and 6 year old.I plan to buy another set for my ne Youkon later this month when it gets delivered!***Original Review***These are AMAZING! The length is perfect, the contour just about matches the roof line. Loved the idea of retractable shades that acted similar to those that come preinstalled and would allow for the window to roll down. However, the adhesive on the velcro is just not durable enough to handle the heat a vehicle endures. I tried and tried but they kept coming unstuck. Great idea. Poor adhesive quality. Definitely don’t purchase.

These blinds were exactly what I wanted. What was a great surprise was that the body was made of metal. All of the ones at the stores were made of plastic so these are much sturdier and feels quality. The packaging was great and the 3M locking strips work great. Easy to install. One note is that if your window curves at all at the top don’t get the straight top one. As the blind will hit the top of the door and cause it not to sit flat. You can see in my picture it starts to hit the back of the blind at the top, just slightly.Either way these cost a little more than all the plastic ones but there are many pros.- You can roll the windows up and down with these still attached. Most other brands you wouldn’t be able to do that.- metal body for durability- easy installation- big 22 inch wide coverage

I was extremely excited for this product, so I could have something that rolls up and down with the window. I placed the first one and rolled the window up and the little plastic piece below the hook broke.. not really a big deal as the window shade still worked fine. Then I installed the next one and expected the plastic piece to break again, however the metal piece that clips to your window snapped off completely. Pretty upset as that one is now unusable. I’m also concerned about if the first one will snap off in time rolling up and down the window as it catches on the window seal.

The Velcro tape is 3M so thought it would work, but it doesn’t stay taped to the window sill so the shades keep flying up when the Velcro fails and hits kids in the car seat—updated reviewI bought more 3M tape and this time I cleaned the window sill with mineral spirits first, and the Velcro tape has been holding fine! The shades look better than anything I’ve seen. Besides not giving proper installation instructions, the fit is not perfect for my Tesla model s. When windows are closed the edges creep into the window sides. Not a big deal but not perfection either. Overall 4 stars if you install tape after alcohol.

Purchased type B for a B7 Passat since rear side shades weren't a factory option like on the previous B6 models. So far so good. Each shade came with two reinforcement / stabilizer bars instead of one like other reviewers mentioned. The quality of materials used seems very good and the shades work smoothly and feel sturdy. Upon reading other reviews, I bought some 3M double sided molding and trim tape from the local auto parts store, and used it instead of the included Velcro strips to attach the shades to the door. They feel extremely secure for now, so we'll see what happens with time. For the price, you can't beat them considering factory installed shades, even the pop in magnetic ones cost hundreds of dollars. They look almost OEM and work great.

I really like the functionality of these blades the problem is they will not stay secured to the door. I'll be riding along and all of a sudden I hear banging against my window because it's come loose.

I originally purchased Type A for my Audi A4 but found that Type B is a much better fit. They were very easy to install and look very sleek and minimalistic. Type A seems to work better for an SUV like a Toyota RAV-4. Overall very pleased with them and would highly recommend to anyone considering purchasing!
