I have to admit this
I never believed in filtered water i thought it was just money mking tactics. I thought i would try this jug as not only it filtres water but changes the alkalinity of the water, i never believed it but due to health problems and skin breakouts i took the plunge. Its been 2 months and my skin has never looked better, i use the same water from jug to wash my face with a flannel, aswell as drink upto 2.5 litres aday sometimes 1.5 or 2.What can i say my skin looks amazing, everyone comments as to what spf i am using or what is my skincare routine. Not only that but i am instantly refreshed after drinking the water, it tastes so pure n clean and i can drink 300ml in one go without feeling any weight in my stomach, its so light and refreshing, i do add some in a normal glass jug with lemon and mint in it to detox during the day.

Good product ☺
The order arrived sooner than expected and was packaged very well. I knew what to expect as I read about this product. The jug itself is doing its job well and I am happy with the quality of the water only if I was to consider my glass kettle that does not need descaling now! Not sure how long the filter life is as I only had this product for 3 weeks, I am using it for drinking and kettle. I have a comment though, which is regarding the filling spot. It is covered by a transparent lid that has to be kept down while filling the jug as opposed to the Britta jug I had before, where the lid could be lifted up to stand open while filling it with water. If that could be fixed it would make the filling possible with one hand, a much easier job.

The water after using this filter taste great. No odor or bad taste. Definitely recommend.

Perfectly easy and great value.
It works perfectly.I use tap water which is very hard in this part of England, and of course it contains chlorine. After using this jug/filter, I measured the water and is pH: 9 with no chlorine. My wife and I drink it every day and it feels good.

Leaks, lid falls off, difficult to fill.
Pro’s: the water does taste good.Cons:The lid doesn’t fit properlyThe jug is a mission to fill. I have to have an empty sink to stand the jug in so I can have one hand free to turn the tap on and off (the top of the jug doesn’t hold much water) while the other hand has to push the flap in on the lid so the water can go in. Terrible design. Why not have a flap you just open like most jugs, as water pressure alone isn’t enough to keep it open. The lid leaks when it’s poured. It even looks like the tabs on the lid don’t match up with the jug. You can’t pour the jug if it’s still filtering the water, as the prefiltered water leaks out and contaminates the filtered water. Even if the reservoir is empty, residue still leaks through. The seal has come off the bottom of the jug and doesn’t go back on now and has scratched my wooden work top. Will be returning.

💦 Alkaline food, why not alkaline water🚰
After watching loads of Tony Robbins motivational videos where he talks about alkaline diet I wanted to start from water.Haven’t measured the PH levels yet.But the water definitely tastes different.I’ve read reviews that it took someone 2 weeks to get used to the taste. That wasn’t in our case.It took me about 1-2 days to get used to the new flavour. My partner got used to it by the end of the day.Our little one only knows the taste of this water in his water bottle. While the whole water concept is great the jug have few flaws:- within the first use the anti slip rubber fell off, and putting it back was impossible, so we just decided to have it without the rubber (bit disappointed)- the water entrance at the top also keep falling in while refilling the water. We now learned how to use it so it doesn’t do that- our digital display wasn’t working. When we press it it was on but it quickly disappeared. It didn’t bother us too much, but still disappointing. We use our senses, when the water start to taste funny we change the filter (roughly every 3 months)- the water stains on the outside of the jug are an absolute nightmare to clean (we live in London - hard water region)Also we found later the jug a lot cheaper elsewhere and was gutted.Other than that we are happy that we switched to alkaline water.

Excellent - pH raising tested and it works!
If you are a sufferer of gout as I am and the thought of going on long-term uric acid lowering drugs scares you to death, I'm sure your research would have lead you all over the place.Cherries, apple cider vinegar, Vitamin C, baking soda, bromelain, aloe vera, nettle tea etc.. etc..Unfortunately due to the complexities of the condition and our internal chemistry, when it comes to natural remedies, what works for one person doesn't work for another - it is a continuous journey of experimentation to find what works for you. After reading on a forum that drinking Alkaline water could help - it seemed pretty obvious; water is something we all must drink (plenty of it when suffering from a gout flare up) so why not drink filtered water that has a raised pH to help make the excess uric acid more soluble?I did a lot of reading and decided that pH Restore was, hopefully, the best option.I'm pleased to report I was very happy - the jug is very well built, pours well, easy to fill and made of excellent materials.Importantly (as seen in the photo I uploaded) - the results speak for themselves (even though the litmus paper was a bit cheap!). The cup on the right is directly from the tap - the litmus paper turned yellow/green - indicating a pH around 7. The cup on the left has been filtered through the pH Restore jug and has blue/purple reaction to the litmus paper showing a pH around 9-10.Very happy - water tastes great and I know it'll be having a positive impact on helping me remove the excess uric acid in body.Lastly - I have NOT been paid for this review; I write it purely for a 'worth trying' recommendation to other gout suffers out there.
