Noticed a big difference when hooking this grounding strap up to an outdoor grounding cable. Outlet application did not seem to work very well. I tested the outlet and it checked out for being grounded. My advice, use an outdoor grounding cable, and you will get results. This device, when hooked up to outdoor rod, provided Significant relief from EMF induced pain.

So the idea of "earthing" is to make an electrical connection between your body and earth ground. However, if you would simply be connected to earth ground using a wire, it would be a bad idea. Why? Because connecting you to earth ground using a wire creates the same situation as you sitting in a grounded bathtub filled with water. The only reason why you don't die these days when you drop the hairdryer in the water is the GFCI protection... Back to the earthing set: if that would be a simple wire and you would touch e.g. a metal ungrounded (2-prong) lamp which has an electrical defect causing the metal case to be on the hot wire, you'd be dead. Because it's your living room and there is no GFCI to save your live. Therefore the cords on all earthing sets have a resistance of at least 100 kOhms. So yeah, a simple continuity test will fail but anyone who writes reviews saying the cords don't have "continuity" has no idea how stuff works and should just shut up. The high resistance in the cord will still allow your body to drain any static electricity buildup to earth ground while also making sure that the current that could flow while you are grounded and accidentally touch a hot wire will be small enough to not harm you! My advice to all the DIY specialists out there: learn how to measure and understand what you measure!

These are difficult to use. You are tethered to the cords and the patches impede use of your hands. They have limited utility because of the restrictions of use.

The metal edges are sharp. Otherwise I am pleased with this item.

Just started using the straps but I felt I needed to comment that the packaging and initial presentation of the straps to the customer is very neat and professional. I was particularly impressed by the check marked inspections on the package indicating the contents were properly tested and inspected even displaying date.Most impressive. This is a small company that is really trying for your repeat business. And further my grounding testing indicates the straps are working as they were designed to.
