The product on it's own is great/amazing, very powerful, good looking, 5/5 really. But be aware that it has it's own sound card built-in. If you bought, for example, a Sound BlasterX AE-5 and thought that adding the BlasterX Kratos speakers would make the perfect combo, think twice because you will end-up with 2 sound blaster card to deal with, which won't really work and you'll end-up using this product only for the speakers, which is paying extra for nothing. If you need both a sound card, great software to control it, great features, great speakers, lots of power, well this is for you!

I bought these speakers for my PC setup because I was looking for powerful speakers with a little rgb flair that could still fit on a desk near my monitor. I was not disappointed. I love with very noisy roommates who are always having fiestas late into the night, but with these speakers I can easily establish my dominance as the sound captain around the house. The setup was easy and the speakers sound amazing even without the software. The volume control knob is simple to use and looks really good on the desk. The bass will shake your floor(s) the smaller speakers are crisp and clear with no audio distortion even while listening to Pandora while gaming.

These speakers are by no means a great value, but I was looking for a solid pair of speakers with stupid features that I didn't need. I decided that since I'm not planning on buying speakers for at least the next few years I could splurge on unnecessary RGB lighting and a 24 Bit DAC. The Good: -Clean sound -24-bit DAC (over USB only) that could possibly take a load off of your processor if you have an older/underpowered computer, and also increases the depth of audio -RGB lighting -Even for chunky monitors, they do look quite nice (even without the RGB lighting) -Solid build quality, I've had these for around 2 weeks and have kicked the subwoofer about 10 times as it is under my desk. Every time, I get a stubbed toe and a reassuring "thud" from the tank of a subwoofer. -Audio Control knob that I feel could sell for $40 a la carte because of its great operation/utility The Bad: -Bass is quite underpowered. This has to be an issue with the way they're programmed, as the subwoofer they come with seems more than large enough to output a good amount of bass -RGB is mediocre. Although Creative does give you a great amount of customizability through the software, the RGB is only 4 LEDs in a strip in each speaker, which leaves it looking blocky at best -The software is surprisingly difficult to find on the internet, with a trip to the product page on Creatives website leaving me without software. -The subwoofer is bottom-firing, which could be part of the reason why the bass is so lacking, as the woofer is on my floor firing directly into carpet -The satellites are quite large, especially for ones that have no dedicated tweeter. This may not be an issue if you're placing these beside a laptop/single monitor, but if you have a multi-monitor setup like me, arranging them in an orderly manner with your monitors is difficult at best.
