The MMS function of this camera is fantastic. The 12megapixel pictures are clear and detailed. Since it requires a 2G SIMM it does not use any data on my wireless contract. It sends pictures both to my text and email. It only sends the first picture in the sequence, however you can use the remote to view the rest of the pictures at the unit itself. I live on 5 acres in the hills of California and get a lot of diverse wildlife on the property, from Mountain Lions to Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Deer and many others. I have six other cameras located throughout the property that are not wireless so the Blushmart text alerts get my attention to activity in real time. The camera is very well made and the customer service is outstanding! Although the wireless cost is minimal its still a monthly cost that exists. It would be great if the wireless providers would allow the same number to used on multiple devices. I would highly recommend this camera based on its features and quality.

so far so good.
received my camera last week and just now got it working. I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. I went to AT&T and they set me up with the mobile hotspot plan. It is a $25 a month plan, that has data but no text. the guy at the store talked me into it. I tried to tell him I thought I needed the go pro plan with voice and text.Well after not being able to get any text or emails I went back to a different AT&T and spoke with them. They switched me to the $20 a month go pro voice and text. they literally switched my account there in the store (I had my camera with me) and poof text and email sent right to my phone in the store. let's see how it works in the woods now!

Great possibilty!
I truly wanted to love this camera because it sounded exactly like what I needed for home surveillance. However, when the product arrived, the brand label "Blusmart" on the front of the camera read as "Blusmar." That was the first clue that perhaps the quality is not so good. I followed all of the instructions to the T anyway.I purchased an AT&T SIM card, activated it, set up the parameter file (more issues on that to follow) and saved it to a micro SD card, but when it came time to test the camera out, the micro SD card didn't sit right in the camera. After fiddling with it on three different occasions and looking at the settings from within the camera, it was clear that the camera didn't even recognize that there was a card in it because the micro SD card slot was defective. Maybe if it wasn't, the camera would work as it should, but I'm not sold on that thought. To set up the micro SD card, you must either download and run the MMSCONFIG file from the CD that comes with the camera (it's on a mini CD and my disc drive is vertical instead of horizontal so that means the disc just kept falling out) or sign up (if you don't have a dropbox account like myself) and download it from their dropbox. I had to do the latter. All of the instructions are fairly clear with the exception of the usage of a lot of Engrish (I don't mean this in a negative way. It is understandable, but just a heads up for prospective buyers). The instructions also come in a variety of forms: word documents, photos, PDF files, and even a YouTube video. With all of those instructions, I'm pretty sure I went about setting it up correctly. You run the MMSCONFIG file, enter the information into the program accordingly, save the file to the micro SD card and then insert it into the camera. I was able to do everything except for select the country in which the camera is being operated (there was no option at all) and select the operator for the SIM card (there was no option at all for this either). That brings me to conclude that even if the camera read the micro SD card, it still may have not operated correctly because I was unable to set up those options. Finally, I can say that I'm definitely not sure if I set up the SIM card correctly. I activated it, but it requires an IMEI number which the camera doesn't have. I used the number off of an old phone and then insert it into the camera. The camera recognized the card, but it didn't show any service. Maybe I did that wrong.I scoured the Internet looking for any extra help with the set up of the country and operator options as well as the SIM card. I found a couple of other consumers that had similar issues, but I ended up sending a message to the seller through Amazon because I couldn't find any answers. Blusmart replied quickly, but with the same general set up instructions that came with the camera. This wasn't helpful, but I thought I would give the camera one more try to see if I missed a step. With no success, I gave up at this point and opted to return it and left my reviews and feedback. I think that I will be looking for another camera because it shouldn't have taken this much time and effort to set up. I ordered it near the end of April and it is now near the middle of May and I haven't been able to actually use it. The resolution in the test mode looked really great and the lighting adjusted accordingly; it looked really sharp, but with all of the set up issues and the defective micro SD card slot, I was let down.UPDATE 5/9/2015Since writing this review, I have been contacted by Blusmart to exchange my camera. I was on the fence about whether I really wanted to go through the trouble again, but for the price and their persistent customer service, I'm willing to give it another try. I will update my experience with the new camera when it arrives.UPDATE 5/21/2015Got my new camera yesterday and set up a new parameter file and saved it to my micro SD card. I'm not sure what happened with the MMSCONFIG file I mentioned in my first review, but Blusmart has uploaded what seems to be a new version in their dropbox. It comes in a .rar format which you download and extract and then you can run the .exe file found in that folder. This solved the problem of not finding any options in the drop down list for "Country" and "Operator." Also, I need to mention that there may not have been anything wrong with the micro SD slot in the first camera I had. I discovered that the card goes in upside down! If you're looking at the inside of the camera where all the card slots and batteries are located with the camera lens side facing up, all the cards and word labeling seem to go in one direction indicating that you need to insert everything that way... except for the micro SD slot. That was my fault if that was the problem with the last one, but at least with the new camera it now says "Blusmart" on it instead of a typo.As for the SIM card, it turns out that I set it up correctly with the last camera. This camera does not have an IMEI number so if you are prompted to enter one when activate your SIM card, the IMEI number of a phone that you no longer use will work.Once you have all of these things set up, if the camera is already on in test mode, I would recommend powering the camera off, inserting the cards, and then putting it back into test mode. You should then see that the camera has a signal. You can then put it in the on mode and it will begin to monitor movement and send any photos to your phone. My camera was already on and in the test mode so when I put the cards back in, it didn't seem to work, but when I turned it back on, it did so it seems like it's a matter of giving the camera a fresh start.I have since upgraded my rating from 3 stars to 4 because the replacement camera appears much better in quality (specifically, no typos as the micro SD slot issue may have been my fault), the file used to set up the micro SD card for the camera settings works now, and the customer service from Blusmart was outstanding. Jessie replied to all of my messages quickly and to the best of her ability. She even continued to find the problem when I messaged her back to say that it still wasn't working! She prompted the exchange for a new camera and convinced me to try again because she was so extremely helpful. The first camera took a lot of time and trouble, but so far everything with the new one seems to have been resolved and I am happy with my purchase. I will give another update on the progress of this camera when it is time to check the memory card.

Need Manufacturer Contact
Would be 5 if I could contact the manufacturer. No idea how, where, who, what... Camera worked great until a bear chewed off the antenna. I need a replacement- the rest of the camera works fine, just no antenna anymore. If anyone at Blusmart is out there.... Actually 2 antennas, so when the next one gets ruined I'm not stuck for months not receiving pictures. For the camera, after about 10 minutes messing around with the software, it works great. This isn't a camera for your grandma that still wants to record Golden Girls on her VHS tape machine. But it's not really that complicated, providing your basic computer skills include opening files, and copying files to a memory device. The SMS function- Currently AT&T has a $10 plan still for 1000 text messages a month. Just take the camera into a local AT&T store, show them the sim card slot, and they'll get the right sized SIM, activate it for $0.10 or something, then can add the $10 plan to it. You can call into customer service after, and have them set up an auto-pay, otherwise you need to call in each month and put another $10 on the sim card plan. Since this isn't a 'normal' phone, expect some special people getting paid minimum 3rd world wage to tell you it isn't supported by AT&T, when it works just fine. One last thing- for a few days I kept re-configuring the software because I wasn't able to get both text messages AND emails of the pictures. I tried every setting combination. I had set up a new gmail account just for the pictures, and eventually found that all of them had been working the whole time, but were defaulted to spam. Once the spam filter was adjusted in gmail, it works just fine. The camera now sends out a text to my phone (and my wife's phone, and my dad's all at once), and then also sends it to the email account. I do believe each person/email address the camera is set to send to will result in 1 message on the AT&T plan, so it does eat up the allowed messages faster when sending to multiples.
