Great Jazz Shoe
I bought these for my daughter back in October 2023, at the beginning of the dance season. Her street shoe size is a 5 and in these I bought her a size 5.5. They fit perfect. As with any dance shoe at first, they felt fitted but after daily wear they molded to her feet. She has never complained of them not being comfortable. She has used these at 7 competitions and at 3 showcases plus weekly rehearsals and they still look great. They do accumulate some dirt from daily wear but comes off easily when wiped off with a damp cloth. Overall, great dance shoe.

LOVE! And some answers to questions you didn't know you needed to ask.
I've been a dance instructor/studio owner since 1993. I've been wearing these for years and I love them! They fit perfectly the way I want them to fit. I like my dance shoes tight out of the box because, if they are of any quality, they will stretch to fit my foot which is EXACTLY what I want. I can go a couple of classes with some discomfort until they break in, but with these it's very minimal. The upper molds to my foot like a glove after just a few classes. Every part of the shoe that touches your skin is padded in some way. The neoprene keeps them from stretching permanently to be too long. The last thing I want in a dance shoe is extra space: this is where sliding around in them can cause blistering and extra material at the toe can get in the way and trip me (believe me, I don't need help tripping!). The darts accent the arch so beautifully! Even my dancers whose point isn't as strong have pretty feet in these. So answering some questions that have been asked:What size should I buy?Do you like your dance shoes to fit snug or loose and what do you wear them for? I like a tight fit so I wear an 8.5 in athletic shoes and buy these in 8.5. I'm actually a 9 in dress shoes, heels, or boots, but these jazz shoes eventually mold to my foot so the 8.5 is perfect and allows for some eventual give to my wide feet (at the metatarsals). At that size my toes hit the end of the shoe which is what I personally want. If you like room and you (or your child) is taking maybe 2 recreational classes a week then you could probably just stick with the usual street shoe size. If you (or your child) is competing and taking several hours of classes per week, it would be best to talk to the instructor about what they prefer. How long do these last?Again, it depends on what you need them for. My senior competition team (around 10-12 competitions per year) can go through a few pair per dance season. That's normal with ANY dance shoe that takes heavy wear. However, my recreational classes can make it the entire year without having to buy a second pair unless they just outgrow them. They do have a more sturdy pad on the ball of the foot than other jazz shoes which is the place I find that most other shoes fail first. With these it's usually the big toe busting through the top but by then we've gotten more than enough wear from them.Do they have a lot of support? No, but that's not what dance shoes are for. Dancers need strong feet and too much support can keep them from developing that strength. Think of jazz shoes as a good second protective skin. They aren't street shoes and are meant for wear only on dance surfaces. So they can't be compared easily to street shoes in that way. There isn't a perfect one-size-fits-all for styles and brands of dance shoes. You just have to find the right one for your foot and the way in which you dance. But I find that these tick a lot of boxes for our students and are DEFINITELY my go-to jazz shoe!

My daughter's favorite jazz shoes
My daughter dances 6 days a week and has tried many different types of jazz shoes, but there are by far her favorite. She won't wear any other kind now! She says they're comfortable and they hold up well.

Jazz Shoes
Preferred jazz shoes for my daughter. They are a great quality product from a trusted dance wear brand. If it is your first time purchasing, be sure to check the size guide as they do not fit like a traditional shoe size.

The are great but run a tad small
I have been able to stretch them out and wear them but they do run a little small. I got an 8 and should have aimed for an 8.5

Size up
My 9 year old daughter wears a size 4 street shoe. I got here these in a size 6.5, and they fit perfect. Very soft and flexible. Easy to get on and off.

Size up 1/2 and you'll be good to go!
I've danced for over 40 years but have never owned tan jazz shoes. Who knew you could find decent ones on Amazon? I normally wear a 7, but I returned those and got a 7 1/2 and they fit fine. They're a bit tight in the toes and looser elsewhere but they feel great when I dance. Wear them with tan socks and you're ready to go!

Sizes are small
After reading through the reviews and seeing the sizing suggestions from people, I ordered a half size larger than my shoe size. It wasn't until my third attempt that I got it right: I actually ended up needing one and a half sizes larger than my shoe size. I wear a size 8 shoe and I needed a size 9.5 in the dance shoe (and for further reference, I have a narrow foot). The shoes are good quality, and they are comfortable when the fit is right.
