great for boots!
Easy to put on the shoes, holds the shoes together well and the elastic allows for sliding shoes on in a way that makes things a lot easier! Big recommend! I can actually wear my boots now without having to worry about tying them!

These almost stretch too much.
I love the concept with these. The department replaced my old Blackhawk duty boots (that had built in lace control/hiding in the top of the tongue of the boots) with these 511s. I wanted to try these so that I did not have to still tie and untie bootlaces. Plus, I was having to tuck my old laces into the edges of the tongues, only to find that they still came out and loosened on their own. With these, there's no more tying and untying. I haven't got to try these for very long, but so far, they seem to stay in place as expected. I found that they are almost too stretchy. When I first installed them, I found it quite difficult to get them to tighten up any at all as I was lacing them in. I realize they have to give some in order to accommodate your feet going in and out of the boots without untying them. It's not like my boots feel as if they're going to fall off, it's just that they're not quite as snug as my older Blackhawk zip boots were. It was hard to get one pair of the laces latched into the clip. It finally clipped together, but still looks like it's going to come loose at any time.

No more tied up shoes
Got mine a few days ago. Haven't tried any other type of no tie laces. These are great. I got two pair so I could try on my two most worn pair of shoes. So first you have to get your old laces off. I did not cut them off, I saved the old ones In case I need them for something else later. Ya never know.Next put the laces on shoes, I did a little different from the directions. They say to put your foot in shoe and then lace up. I found it easier to lace shoe up loosely to the top and put on the squeeze lock loosely, put my foot in, then adjust the laces from the bottom going up to removing the slack, then tighten up the squeeze lock. I didn't cut off extra and put on the end clip yet. But made sure I would not trip on the extra. Then I walked around a little in one room and down and up the stairs and made adjustments if needed for a better feel. After that, on one pair I measured off the extra from the squeeze lock to the end clip and then cut off the extra cord and put the end clip on. On the other pair which are my daily work shoes, I left even some more extra cord as I wanted to walk around in them a while at work first, I tucked the extra back under the laces on the sides. I also ran the extra cord from the top squeeze lock back down to the end back under the other laces. Looks good.So I wore my tan pair when i went out shopping on Sunday. I was able to slip my foot into shoe without loosening any of the laces. Not hard and they fit nicely. Went shopping and when i got home, as i don't like wearing my shoes inside the house, except at the entry area. So once inside house I was able to slip both shoes off while standing up and still holding a full bag of groceries without spilling any. Upon reflection I realized I was most comfortable when walking around the store, I don't think those shoes ever fit my foot better. With all the laces crossing the shoe being self adjusting somewhat the top of the shoe seems to more conform to your foot shape and holds to your foot more evenly I think.I wore my brown work shoes today. I had those laced a little tighter and have to slip one of the top loops off to get my foot in the shoe, but not difficult, and easy to loop back on the top clip. Walked around all day and didn't notice any discomfort. I forgot all about the laces. Had no discomfort. When I got home again i'm able to slip shoes off without touching any laces. I had left those some extra laces as I wanted to be able to test several days to be sure i got the best fit in case I needed to adjust. Don't feel I need to make any adjustments. Also note the the stretchy cord is actually 7 strands of stretchy cord together, inside the black outer casing. I like that as I think if any one of the strands has a defect, weak spot or gets a nick and breaks, the others will continue to hold on.I got the two color pack. Both pairs of laces look good on the shoes. Camo laces matched good on my tan shoes in place of some black with yellow dashes. Put black on my brown work shoes that had brown laces before. Both look nice. See my Photos. I'm pleased with color choices. My old laces would need periodic adjusting, untying top knot and re-tying to be tighter, a few times a month.I think from now on, they'll always be perfect. I won't have to retie my shoes even again. Woohoo !!!

Very convenient laces!
They're not as stretchy as I'd imagine, but they're much better than regular laces. Be advised that you will need to leave behind sufficient length upon trimming the laces ; it was a costly mistake on my part, cutting them a bit too short, but fortunately there were two of them. The locking mechanism was slightly difficult for someone like me who's got big hands and not very good at handling small items, but once they're installed, they do a solid job. Highly recommended.

Great for gym shoes and boots
Laced athletic shoes and sneakers always seem to come unlaced at the wrong time:I’m at the gym 6-7 days a week and no matter how clean a gym may appear, it’s still a very dirty place, especially locker rooms and bathroom areas. All I really needed was the lacing system that kept the laces tied in place and off the floor. With this product, you can customize the laces to fit a wide variety of foot ware. The laces are elastic, pull down securely & make it easy to put on and remove shoes . They are also benign looking. The spring loaded lock keeps the laces secure and there are snap-on lace terminations that keep the laces together and when cut to the proper length, always off the floor. At 2 pair for $18, it’s not out of line with most standard laces making it a good value for the sanitary and simplicity features it adds to your athletic footwear.I’m sold - I’ll never use standard laces on my athletic footwear again. Hope this helps!

Better than expected.
Very pleased with these. I didn’t realize I’d bought boot laces but I wanted a two pack. They trim easily and work great. I’ve got them in a pair of On shoes and they feel better than laces and are easy on and easy off.
